2018 SCHEDULE NOTES The Steelers are slated to appear in fi ve nationally televised primetime games, including two at Heinz Field, during the NFL’s 2018 regular season, it was announced when the NFL unveiled its 2018 regular season schedule. Pittsburgh will host the Kansas City Chiefs in Week Two on Sunday, Sept. 16 for their 2018 regular season home opener at Heinz Field (CBS, 1 p.m.). Pittsburgh’s two home nationally televised primetime games in 2018 are scheduled for Week Four when it hosts the Baltimore Ravens on Sunday Night Football (NBC, 8:20 p.m.) and Week 10 when it hosts the Carolina Panthers on Thursday Night Football (FOX/NFLN 8:20). The Steelers’ three other primetime matchups in 2018 will occur on the road in Weeks Three, 11 and 14. The team will travel to face the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week Three (Sept. 24) for a Monday Night Football tilt (ESPN, 8:15 p.m.). Pittsburgh heads to Jacksonville in Week 11 (Nov. 18) to face the Jaguars on Sunday Night Football (NBC, 8:20 p.m.) and caps off its regular season primetime schedule in Week 14 (Dec.) with a Sunday Night Football game at the Oakland Raiders (NBC, 8:20 p.m.). The Steelers’ bye week will be on Oct. 21 (Week Seven).

The 2018 Steelers Hall of Honor Induction ceremony will be held on Friday, Sept. 28, at Heinz Field.Each inductee will receive a replica of a solid steel football, which will replicate the original that was given to Steelers’ founder Arthur J. Rooney Sr. by the United States Steel Corporation and United Steel Workers in 1982 on the occasion of the team’s 50th Season. The Steelers’ Hall of Honor, established with its inaugural class of 27 members in 2017, is comprised of former players, coaches, and front offi ce personnel who were integral in creating and sustaining the franchise’s success dating back to when the team was founded in 1933. The Hall of Honor Selection Committee consists of Steelers President Art Rooney II, Joe Gordon, Bob Labriola, Stan Savran, Andrew Stockey, and Tony Quatrini.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – RB Le'Veon Bell rushed for 179 yards and a touchdown as the Steelers secured a 19-13 victory over the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. The Steelers defense only allowed six yards of total off ense and one fi rst down in the fi rst half, as Pittsburgh jumped out to a 12-3 lead. Kansas City narrowed the gap early in the fourth quarter when QB Alex Smith connected with WR De'Anthony Thomas for a 57-yard touchdown. The Steelers responded on the following drive with a 51-yard touchdown pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger to WR Antonio Brown, extending their lead to 19-10. Kansas City K Harrison Butker put three more points on the scoreboard for the Chiefs, but on Kansas City's fi nal drive of the game, an 8-yard sack on third down by LB James Harrison sealed a 19-13 victory for Pittsburgh. LB Vince Williams produced the fi rst multi-sack game of his career, bringing down Smith twice. Harrison's game-ending sack brought his career total to 80.5, the most by a Steeler and sixth-most among active players since the statistic became offi cial in 1982. Smith-Schuster ended his regular-season rookie year becoming the fi rst rookie in Steelers history to record a kickoff return for a touchdown (96 yards) and a touchdown catch (20 yards) in the same game in Week 17 vs. Cleveland. His 265 combined yards (143 receiving + 122 kickoff return) were the second-most by a rookie in Steelers history (273, Charles Johnson, Dec. 24, 1994 at San Diego).

He totaled a single-game career highs in receiving yards (193), including a 97-yard touchdown catch-and-run from QB Ben Roethlisberger in the team’s Week Eight 20-15 win at Detroit. The 97-yard connection is the longest pass play in team history and ties as the longest off ensive play in franchise annals. In Week 15 vs. New England, the rookie wide receiver posted the second 100-yard game of 2017, leading the team with 114 yards on a team-best six catches. His 69-yard catch-and-run is the second longest reception of his NFL career.

James caught six passes for 41 yards with two touchdown catches in the Steelers Week One 21-18 win at Cleveland. It was the fi rst career multi-touchdown game of his NFL career – and marked the 10th such game by a Steelers tight end since 1960 and the fi rst since 2012 (Heath Miller, Sept. 23, 2012 at Oakland).

He hauled in two passes for 42 yards, including a career-long reception of 32 yards from QB Ben Roethlisberger in the second quarter of the team’s Week Eight 20-15 win at Detroit.

In Week 11 vs. Tennessee, James caught fi ve passes for 21 yards, including a one-yard touchdown pass from Roethlisberger in the fourth quarter, matching a single-season career high of three touchdown receptions (2016).

James set single-game career highs in receptions (10) and receiving yards (97) in Week 14's 39-38 win vs. Baltimore on Sunday Night Football in 2017.

CONNER GOES OVER 100

RB James Conner made the fi rst start of his NFL career and set single-game career-highs for rushing yards (135), touchdowns (2 rushing), receptions (5), receiving yards (57) and scrimmage yards (192) on Kickoff Weekend of 2018 at Cleveland.

DT Cameron Heyward recorded 2.0 sacks in four games during the 2017 regular season.

Since entering the NFL in 2011, Heyward has recorded six multi-sack games during the regular-season in which the Steelers are 6-0.

DAVIS IN YEAR TWO S Sean Davis started each of the Steelers' 16 regular-season games in 2017, and fi nished with a team-best and career high 90 tackles (69 solo), along with a career bests in interceptions (3), passes defensed (8) and tackles for losses (7), to go along with 1.0 sack, two quarterback hits and a defensive forced fumble. Davis recorded at least 8 total tackles in four games, including the fi rst double-digit tackle games of his NFL career with 10 vs. New England in Week 15 and a career high 12 vs. Baltimore in Week 14. In the Week 17 regular season fi nale vs. Cleveland, the team's 2016 second-round Draft selection posted his sole sack of the season, and hauled in his third interception of the year.

HILTON MAKING AN IMPACT CB Mike Hilton joined the Steelers’ practice squad in Decem-ber of 2016, and started four-of-16 games played with Pittsburgh in 2017, recording 54 tackles (42 solo), 4.0 sacks, two intercep-tions, eight quarterback hits and 10 tackles for losses and six passes defensed. Hilton set a single-game career high with 3.0 sacks and added 6 tackles (all solo) in Week 16 at Houston. He became the third Steelers defensive back with 3.0 sacks in a game since the sta-tistic became offi cial in 1982, joining Troy Polamalu (Sept. 18, 2005 at Houston) and Carnell Lake (Nov. 30, 1997 at Arizona). He tallied the fi rst sack and interception of his NFL career in the Steelers’ 26-9 win at Baltimore in Week Four. His sack, a six-yard takedown of Baltimore QB Joe Flacco came in the third quarter, and his interception off of Flacco in the fourth quarter. In Week 11 vs. Tennessee, Hilton picked off QB Marcus Mariota on the Titans' fi rst off ensive possession of the game - marking the Steelers' fi rst of four interceptions in the team's 40-17 win.

HADEN JOINS THE STEELERS CB Joe Haden, a two-time Pro Bowl selection, made his Steelers debut, appearing in the 91st game of his NFL regu-lar-season career and posted six tackles and 1.0 sack, on Kickoff Weekend of 2017 at the Cleveland Browns. He brought down Cleveland QB DeShone Kizer for a sack of three yards to end the fi rst half – his fi rst sack with the Steelers – third of his NFL career – and fi rst since Sept. 11, 2011 (with Cleveland). BURNETT AND BOSTIC ON THE D S Morgan Burnett and LB Jon Bostic joined the Steelers as free agent signings during the 2018 off season. Burnett spent his fi rst eight seasons in the NFL with the Green Bay Packers. The Georgia Tech product was a third-round (71st overall) draft selection of the Packers in 2010. He started all 102 regular season games played for Green Bay as well as 11 postseason contests. The Steelers opened up the scoreboard with a 71-yard touchdown pass from Steelers QB Landy Jones to WR JuJu Smith-Schuster. Philadelphia pulled ahead by one point after QB Nate Sudfeld found TE Dallas Goedirt in the end zone for a 15-yard touchdown, followed by a successful two-point conversion. Pittsburgh recaptured the lead with a 3-yard touchdown run by RB Fitzgerald Toussaint followed by a Steelers' successful two-point conversion attempt. On the ensuing drive, Steelers CB Cameron Sutton picked off Sudfeld to give Pittsburgh a short field, but an interception by Pittsburgh QB Joshua Dobbs allowed Philadelphia to regain control. The Eagles capitalized with 63-yard touchdown pass from Sudfeld to WR Shelton Gibson. The extra point attempt failed. The Steelers bounced back in the final mintues of the half when Dobbs found rookie WR Damoun Patterson in the end zone for a 29-yard touchdown. The Pittsburgh defense held Philadelphia scoreless in the second half, as K Chris Boswell kicked three field goals before time expired. PITTSBURGH, Pa. – The Steelers' defense tallied 6.0 sacks and rendered the Titans scoreless through three quarters in their 16-6 preseason victory over Tennessee. QB Ben Roethlisberger made his 2018 preseason debut, completing 11 of 18 passes for 114 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions. The Steelers' lone touchdown of the night came near the end of the first quarter when Roethlisberger linked up with WR Justin Hunter for a 32-yard touchdown that was initially called out of bounds before being overturned following a coach's challenge. Pittsburgh QB Joshua Dobbs got off to a quick start with 3-yard touchdown run, followed by a 27-yard touchdown pass to WR Tevin Jones. Trailing 14-0 in the second quarter, the Panthers got on the scoreboard 6-yard touchdown pass from QB Taylor Heinicke to WR Mose Frazier, but the Steelers continued to roll through the end of the half with a 21-yard field goal from K Chris Boswell and another touchdown catch by Jones, this time from QB Mason Rudolph. Carolina struck first in the second half with a 54-yard field goal by K Graham Gano. CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Steelers ended Kickoff Weekend locked in a 21-21 tie with AFC North foes, the Cleveland Browns, at FirstEnergy Stadium. The game marks Pittsburgh's third tie following overtime since 1970. After a scoreless first quarter, Steelers RB James Conner, in his first career start, ignited Pittsburgh's offense with a 4-yard touchdown run. Browns QB Tyrod Taylor tied things up early in the second half with a touchdown rush for 20 yards, but the Steelers responded with touchdowns on back-to-back drives - first a 22-yard touchdown pass from QB Ben Roethlisberger to WR Antonio Brown, then a 22-yard touchdown run by Conner. Halfway through the fourth quarter, a Steelers' fumble recovered by Cleveland, led to Browns RB Carlos Hyde scoring a touchdown off a 1-yard rush. Cleveland tied the game just before the two-minute warning with a 17-yard touchdown reception from Taylor to WR Josh Gordon. Tied 21-21 with 0:23 remaining in regulation, Steelers DB Cameron Sutton intercepted a pass intended for Gordon at the Pittsburgh 8-yard line to force the game into overtime.
