Boilermaking duties include arc air gouging and removal and repairs (LN25 wire feeders using Verticor 3XP & 8XP) of cracked welds and areas of dragline superstructure, buckets & damaged plant, reinstatement /realignment and welding off using flux core and bare wire MIG on mild to hi tensile (bisalloy 80) and stainless steel, Manual Metal Arc (low hydrogen, mild & stainless) oxy acetylene cutting and preheating as required all to OEM Standards.

Workshop duties include heavy manufacture of beams/ columns etc. for new fining’s plant at Cook CHPP

Performing maintenance/ change outs and reinstallation of primary resizers, Grisly and Synitron feeders in ROM.

Construction/ and or removal and reinstallation of conveyor structure, belt ancillary hardware, new fining’s plant, breaker station and ROM, pumps, screens, shakers, thickener tank, bottom feeders shuts and wear plates on underground feeder belt to CHPP, plus shaker repairs and change outs.

Work safely to all sites including BMA Charter and Life Saving Rules, Thiess, Peabody & G&S Engineering & various contractors’ standards.

Thorough understanding and interpretation of workshop drawings from basic mud maps to complex engineer’s isometric drawings and layouts.
