WHY IS HEALING PRAYER NEEDED IN TODAY’S WORLD?
We live in a broken world where people are physically, emotionally & spiritually shattered. As Christians, how are we called to restore God’s people? Jesus asks the believer to lay their hands on the sick & to pray for healing & deliverance. We take this request very seriously &
to heart, believing that Christian Healing Prayer Ministers are to pray for others, bringing about this necessary
restoration & wholeness, to the world, just as it was in the time of Jesus.

OUR MISSION is to be a Spirit-filled community of love, challenging people to proclaim the good news of Christ’s
salvation to the world. We seek to foster & promote a life pleasing to God through prayer &
Sacramental ministry. We are called to nurture spiritual growth, build our lives on Gospel values & to reach out
to the poor & hurting.
When your Mom or Dad let you borrow the keys to their car, the car doesn’t all of a sudden belong to you; it’s still their car. But there is a certain level of responsibility that’s required of you. When Jesus gives the keys of the kingdom to Peter, the Church doesn’t all of a sudden become disconnected from Jesus. It’s still His Church. However, Peter, His successors, and the whole Church have been given great responsibility. The world wants to see the Church as a business or political organization. First and foremost, we the Church are a family of believers. We don’t always act like a family. While the members of the Church may be weak and human, it is divine in Christ, it’s head. He will not let the gates of the netherworld prevail against it. We need to remember that Peter’s faith is based in humility and ours should be too. This isn’t the false kind of humility that is ruled by popular opinion of Jesus, or that says we’re not even worthy to answer the question, “Who do you say that I am?” Peter speaks the truth boldly, and so should we in our faith. What’s our relationship to the leadership of Peter today? Pope Francis isn’t some old priest thousands of miles away; he is our spiritual father and Christ’s representative on earth; His Vicar. Do we pray for Pope Francis and his ministry? VOCATIONSWITHPOPEFRANCIS“Behind and before every vocation to the priesthood or to the consecrated life there is always the strong and intense prayer of someone: a grandmother, a grandfather, a mother, a father, a community…. This is why Jesus said: “Pray therefore the Lord of the harvest,” that is, God the Father, “to send out laborers into his harvest” (Mt 9:38). Vocations are born in prayer and from prayer; and only through prayer can they persevere and bear fruit. Let us invoke the intercession of Mary who is the Woman of the “yes”. Mary said “yes” throughout her life! She learned to recognize Jesus’ voice from the time when she carried him in her womb. May Mary, our Mother, help us to know Jesus’ voice better and better and to follow it, so as to walk on the path of life!”
TheMarianEucharisticYouthConference is coming up on September 23. All Confirmation Candidates are required to participate in one day conference each year. If you will be attending this year, please get your registration in as soon as possible. Thank you!
