When and where was the Paul Harris Society started?

It expanded quickly to districts throughout the world and since

July 1, 2013 is an official program of the Rotary Foundation.

About 28,000 donors contribute $1,000 or more to the Annual Fund. Fewer than 3% of Rotarians belong to the PHS. They contribute about 35% of all Annual Fund giving.

In District 5520 there are presently about 80 Paul Harris Society

members. We have set a goal of adding another 71 (an average of

one per club) this Rotary year.

Rotary Direct is an excellent way to make PHS contributions

Zones 21 and 27 Double your PHS contribution!

• A Rotary Foundation Donor Advised Fund has been established in the amount of $500,000.

• From July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016, the DAF will transfer $1,000 to YOUR district’s Annual Fund—SHARE account for every NEW $1,000 PHS contribution made in your district, up to $500,000.

• District 5520 has a special additional challenge. Rotarians Dave and Maureen Anderson of Albuquerque del Norte will match the first 50 new PHS enrollees in our district this year with an additional contribution of $1000 to the Annual Fund SHARE account.

How do you join the PHS?

• Fill out Form EN 099 and give it to our District 5520 PHS Chair, Yale Jones or send it directly to TRF. If you send it in directly to the Foundation, please let Yale know so that District 5520 receives the available matching contributions.

• Also if you sign up with Rotary Direct, your annual commitment will be met automatically.

EVERY contribution to TRF helps us meet our goal of “doing good in the world.” Joining the PHS is not for everyone But many are able to contribute at this level and above, and the PHS is a way to encourage and recognize those individuals.
