1. Appointmentsarerequired.Makeanappointmentonlineandprinttheappointmentletter.AppointmentsareavailableforAmericancitizensMondaytoFridayfrom9:00amto12:30pm.WeareclosedonthelastWednesdayofeverymonthandonAmericanandIndianholidays.

Forchildrenage16orolder,thechildsignsforhim/herself(inthepresenceoftheconsularofficer),sotheparentsneednotbepresent,andthereisnoneedtopresentacopyofthechild'sbirthcertificate.

Thechildmustprovehis/heridentity.Ifthechildiseasilyidentifiablebytheconsularofficerbylookingatthepreviouspassport,noadditionalproofmaybenecessary.However,achild'sappearancemaychangesignificantlyovertime,sotheconsularofficermayaskforadditionalproofofidentity.Pleasebringasmuchproofaspossible.Examplesofitemsthatcanbeusedtoestablishachild'sidentityare:

Primaryorpreferredmethodisgrowingagephotos(i.e.,aseriesoffamilyphotographsfromvariousagessincethechild'slastpassportwasissuedforexample,ifthechildisnowfiveyearsoldandthepassportwasissuedshortlyafterhis/herbirth,bringfamilyphotosshowingthechildatages1,2,3and4).

Ifyouwishtousecourierservicefordeliveryofyourpassport/passportcard/CRBA,pleasecompletethecourierslip(PDF:55KB)andpresentademanddraftmadeouttoFirstFlightCouriersLTDforRs.350.ThedemanddrafthastobepayableatChennai.AnyvariationfromthiswillnotbeacceptedbyFirstFlight.DraftscanbedrawnonanynationalizedorforeignbankoperatinginIndia.Draftsofcooperativebanksarenotacceptedatthistime.Wecannotacceptcashfordeliveryservice.
