The Parkes Chamber of Commerce's Sir Henry Parkes Business Awards is held on a biennial basis and has been running for over 10 years. This event offers a unique opportunity for the Shire's businesses who strive for excellence in their sector. The Sir Henry Business Awards recognise and reward businesses who contribute to the future economic development and prosperity of Parkes Shire. Both the Awards Information Night and the Gala presentation night provide rare opportunities for local businesses to network and socialise.

The Sir Henry Parkes Business Awards are of interest to local business, industry, Local Government, non-government organisations and the general community. The Nomination Information night will be held 23rd June 2017, and the formal awards presentation night will be held on Friday 20th October 2017 at a Parkes venue.

The Parkes Chamber of Commerce is now offering exclusive sponsorship opportunities for the 2017 Sir Henry Parkes Business Awards for a limited number of businesses who wish to undertake an important role in recognition of excellence in business within the Parkes Shire.

AWARD CATEGORIES

The 2017 Sir Henry Awards categories will be divided into two sections and designed to accommodate all businesses and staff in Parkes Shire. The 'Business Awards' categories all align with the NSW Business Chamber and have to be completed online via the NSW Business Chamber website - winners of these categories will automatically advance to the next level of NSW Business Chamber Awards. The winners of the 'People's Choice Awards' will be determined as voted by the public.

The sections are as follows;

Business Awards 1. Young Entrepreneur (Age 18-35, NSW Business Chamber aligned)2. Business Leader (Age 36+, NSW Business Chamber aligned)3. Excellence in Innovation (NSW Business Chamber aligned)4. Excellence in Small Business (for businesses employing less than 20 employees - NSW Business Chamber aligned)5. Excellence in Business (for businesses employing more than 20 employees - NSW Business Chamber aligned)6. Employer of Choice (NSW Business Chamber aligned)

JUDGING

Business Award entries will be judged by an independent panel of three, and the People's Choice Award entries will be determined by public votes.
