Our operation is currently extracting Calcium Sulphate and is strategically located near the well-known “Nucleus Agricultural Zones” of South America where the majority of the continents important and dynamic agribusiness activity is located. Product quality, exceptional service and social/environmental responsibility factors are the key drivers to our success. We are strong advocates for the use of Calcium Sulphate in the process of soil maintenance and recovery. We recognize its use as a fundamental pillar in the solution to humanity’s challenge of balancing food production with environmental sustainability. What is Calcium Sulphate? Agricultural soil conditioning and/or recovery using calcium sulphate has been successfully demonstrated throughout Latin America and the world. Calcium sulphate is an essential mineral that makes it possible to revitalize used agricultural soils and restore the soil to full useful potential. This enables landowners to improve production, while helping prevent the current and harmful expansion of the agricultural frontier. Highly soluble, calcium sulphate adds much needed calcium to over cultivated farmland, extending the useful life of the land indefinitely. This process results in a reduced need for deforestation as existing farmland is continued to be available for growing. Farming which has the greatest negative impact on soils, is in the production of: Soybean, Corn, Tobacco, and Sugar-cane.
