REMEMBER : Clefts types :Facial + lip + palate The types of face clefts are : •bilateral lip cleft : maxillary process fails to fuse with the median nasal process. •median lip cleft: the medial nasal processes fail to fuse with one another. •oblique facial cleft: failure of fusion between the lateral nasal process and the maxillary process. •lateral facial cleft : the mandibular process fails to fuse with the maxillary process. •median mandibular cleft : the 2 mandible processes fail to fuse together.
