Paint Ireland with Watercolor Artist Angela FehrWhat could be more of a dream come true for an artist than to paint the world? Joinwatercolor artist Angela Fehr for a destination workshop focused on growing yourwatercolor skills while exploring the landscapes and villages of Ireland. This six dayworkshop combines sightseeing and painting, as we explore Ireland; taking in thebeauty of the natural landscape and historic sites in half-day tours, sketching enplein air on occasion, then returning to the studio to paint our impressions of whatwe've experienced through loose, intuitive painting focused on personal expressionand heartfelt emotion.

Through demonstrations and step-by-step tutorials, Angela's focus is not just inteaching technique, but in how to apply those techniques in good watercolor"decision making," developing your personal style and unique voice in this beautifulmedium, growing skill while enjoying every step of the journey.

The emphasis of the painting workshop is to use watercolour as a tool for self-expression, and while a skilled grasp of technique makes creative expressioneasier, even a beginning painter can learn to connect with their inner voice andcreate paintings that “sing” with an intensely personal spirit and flair.

Studio Day with Angela: Woodland Cottage StudioAfter a hearty Irish breakfast the group will meet up at Woodland Cottage Studio,located on the Mount Falcon Property.

Your groups guide and driver will be available to the group for excursions andadventures during your stay. Making the most of the day in the studio - MountFalcon will have box lunches for your purchase.

DAY 3 - DOWNPATRICK HEAD + ART INSTRUCTION WITH ANGELA -SEPTEMBER 12

Downpatrick Head + Art Instruction with AngelaAfter breakfast your group will head out to explore Downpatrick Head, a majesticheritage site found about 5km north of Ballycastle village. Jutting out into the oceanand rising almost 40m above the waves, it provides unparalleled views of theAtlantic, including the unique collection of islands known as the Staggs ofBroadhaven. You can also spot the nearby Dún Briste sea stack, with its differentcolored layers of rock and nesting sea birds.

In addition to the natural scenery and wildlife, Downpatrick Head is home to theruins of a church, holy well and stone cross, which together mark the site of anearlier church founded by St Patrick. Ireland’s patron saint is also honored with astatue that was built in the early 1980s.
