However, Retha kept a good attitude and strove to remain faithful through them all. She had the ability to continue being witty and smiling even when times were the toughest. We no doubt will miss our beloved sister, but we are thankful for God’s wonderful promises which remind us that Retha has now received her reward from the Creator. Let’s continue to remember Marcella, Amber and all of this good family in our prayers that they may turn to God and find the guidance and help they need in times such as these. There are several I would like to thank of our congregation for their help with funeral needs over the last few days. Thanks to Dad for leading the singing at the funeral. Also, thank you to brother Wesley for organizing a nice meal for the family. I would also like to thank all those who came to serve and as well those who sent food. Your good and kind deeds do not go unnoticed. We have so many in our church family who are willing to get involved, help and serve when others are in need. We are truly blessed! This year has gotten off to a good start as far as our attendance and budget. It has been good to have so many of our own family able to be back with us after long struggles with health. We still have many who are basically shut-ins and unable to get out much. Let’s keep them all in prayers. We have also been blessed with lots of visitors and even a new family with our congregation. Let’s all keep up the good work, be friendly and encourage one another in the wondrous work of the Lord. It is a beautiful day outside, so I look forward to seeing most of you at our mid-week service tonight. Remember the Lord’s Day and its importance this Sunday. I know we will all want to be present to give God our best. See you soon. Elders’ Corner: We hope everyone is having a good week.

This Sunday is the 5th Sunday in January. As

can do more for the Lord’s work here at K.E.

Also, we will be having a Potluck meal after

the morning worship service. Come join us

with some of your favorite dishes.

Brother Leroy Hathcock is now at Mercy

Rehabilitation, south of town. He seems to

be getting better after his hip surgery.

Continue to keep Leroy and Delores in your

prayers; also, Tom & Anita, Reva, Freda and

many others in your everyday prayers.

The weather looks better for this Sunday.

Maybe some of you that have not been able

to get out will be here Sunday to worship our

Lord.

Keep the elders, deacons and every member

at K.E. in your prayers.

Gary and Jerry
