Background

• In 1986, the SWSA began collaboration with Zhongshan University in Guangzhou by placing MSW students in the Guangzhou Federation of Women and the Guangzhou Communist Youth

• Since 1998, the SWSA has already sent a total of 300 social work students in various placement settings in different countries and places, such as Australia, Canada, Germany, Singapore, UK, USA, Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Sichuan, Taiwan and Japan.

Objectives of Overseas/Mainland Placement

• Good learning attitudes and interpersonal skills

• Maturity and independence

• Good heath condition (both physically and psychologically)

• Academic performance (GPA at 3 or above will be selected for interview)

• Sufficient financial support to afford overseas expenses

• Recommendation from teachers
