Timber decking can become slippery when wet. Our anti-slip deck boards are enhanced with aggregate inserts to help provide a secure grip even during the biggest downpour. These boards help provide peace of mind for those wanting the appeal of a natural timber surface without the risk of slipping.

Gripsure Aquadeck® is a unique development in non slip timber decking, allowing rain water to permeate through the board back into the watercourse below.Available in a range of vibrant colours.

TIMBER

Our timber supplier, SCA Merchant Services, has their own timber treatment facilities which utilise Next Generation TANALITH™ wood preservative. This advanced treatment ensures a long term protection against fungal decay and insect attack and provides a long and low maintenance service life. With over 20 years proven performance, TANALITH™ is a unique formulation which is boosted with the very latest award winning BARamine™ technology. This innovative technology allows an even wider, more robust protection and a deeper and more effective penetration of the preservative into the timber - allowing it to be used with real confidence in a wide range of end uses.

The controlled treatment process uses proven vacuum, high pressure technology and the resulting TANALISED™ timber has an appealing even green colour which gradually weathers to a honey brown and eventually a silver grey. Treated timber can be coated if desired - refer to coating manufacturer’s guidelines for product suitability.

Timber loaded into treatment vessel. Initial

vacuum applied and the timber cells are evacuated

of air. Vacuum held.

Cylinder flooded under vacuum with TANALITH

wood preservative.

Hydraulic pressure applied, forcing the

preservative deep into the structure of the timber.

Final vacuum extracts excess preservative

solution, which is pumped back to storage.

Low pressure inside the timber draws in surface solution when vented to

atmosphere. Treated timber is left to dry.

Any preservative treated timber surface

exposed by cross cutting, drilling, notching or boring must be brushed with a suitable

end-grain preservative to maintain the integrity of the treatment.
