Tēnā koutou e te Whānau,
Thank you for all your praise for the teachers online video message, it was great fun making it! We have really enjoyed viewing the many responses from our families through personal messages, poems and waiata/songs. Thank you, Thank you.
Alert Level 2: As soon as we are advised of the guidelines and timeframe of moving to Alert Level 2, we will plan for what school will look like at this level and be in contact with you.
Thank you for supporting your child/ren with their online learning. To all of our families, please be kind to yourselves and take time out. Don’t put pressure on yourselves in regards to your child/ren’s online learning. Do what works for you and your children. Feel free to have a wellbeing day with no online learning.
Medical: It is important for us to have up-to-date information regarding your child/ren’s health so we can know how best to look after your child/ren. Yesterday you received a Signmee form asking you to update your child’s health/medical details. Please complete this form by this Thursday 7th May.
Sacred Heart College Enrolments for Year 9 2021 open next week on Monday 11 May. On Monday a link to the online enrolments will be available on the Sacred Heart College website.
Happy Mother’s Day to all our wonderful Mother’s this Sunday.
Take care. Ngā mihi maioha Karolina Surynt-Tapiki Principal
My Mum My mum is very good at working hard because she works almost everyday! She also provides all our food for us so we can live. My favourite dinner is homemade pizza she makes. She loves to watch me or my brother's sports games but sometimes she has work to do. My mum is a blood tester and she tells me what she does at work. She's so nice because when I had a swollen foot she had to work but she put me in the staff room to rest. My mum has brown eyes, brown hair, and loves wearing summer clothes. But sometimes she loves the winter when it rains because it reminds her of England where she used to live. Her favourite plant is the holly because it also reminds her of England. She also is as funny as a monkey. My mum likes science but not really maths. She also likes English. My mum is perfect for me. I love my mum. By Niamh Sio

Blake’s Story: My teddy is really, really cool.
Sione is practising reading his sight words.
Sione has made a dart. The wind moves it. The wind is like the Holy Spirit, we know it is there but we can’t see it.
Taylor
Liam loved the story - We are going on a bear hunt. He is putting the main ideas of the story in order.
Taylor is holding her bear called Missy Bear. She wrote a great story about Missy Bear.
My mum is an amazing, funny cook. My favourite dinner is
macaroni and cheese. She can dance like a monkey and she
is strong like a rhino.
Her brown eyes sparkle like the sun. She loves our family and
friends. She is the nicest person in the world.
She comes to my sports. She is really REALLY smart and
amazing at working. Her work gives her kindness, laughter
and inspiration.
Her favourite place to go is London. She loved the double
decker buses.
She was amazing at sports when she was younger. Her
favourite colour is black.
Her favourite holiday with her kids was Hawaii she loved the
sea turtles and the fire dancers.
She loves swimming and she's the nicest person I know.
She puts a roof over my head and also gives me kindness.
She takes me for bushwalks. We saw a big waterfall and
when we jumped in it was freezing cold. My dog Ace
climbed up the mountain of rocks.
That's why my mum is so amazing!
