  • SICK PARISHIONERS: Please pray for all our parishioners in this uncertain time. We remember especially: Gwen Rushton, Elvira Kitteridge, Kathy McBrierty, Mary Davis, Catherine Hughes, Cecilia Omoyinbo, Val Harding, Kathleen Haigh, Mary Rooney, Megan Delaney, Isaac Barry, Peter Beard, Bernard Boylan, Chris Brodie, Barbara Mansell, Janet Cash, Mary Delaney, Josie Pullum, Frances Weaver, Rachel Stokes, Bob Bothello, Brenda Sewell and Maria Wray. ANNIVERSARIES: Ruth Mc Gough, Daniel De-Giovanni, Joanna McLaughlin, Owen Shead, Mary Hayden, Peter Krzykowski, Stanley Kulik, Annette Croft, Patricia Kohle, Margaret Ryan, Louis Remy, Margaret McGuire and Holly Radford. May they all rest in peace. THANK YOU: We would like to say a big thank you to FareShare & Tesco Store in Braintree for their kind donation of bread each week . SVP: Food Bank collection during Lent At the moment, with Covid lockdown restrictions, it is more challenging to bring donated items to the church for onward transmission to the Food Bank. If you would like Braintree SVP members to collect from your home, please let Kate Manning know using 07967 796227 or contact Clare at the Parish Office. Do you have temporary storage space for furniture and household items? Braintree SVP helps newly-housed people by supplying household equipment, often donated. Are you able to offer any temporary storage space? If so, please contact SVP on 07967 796227 or call or email Clare at the Parish Office. Thank you.

ASH WEDNESDAY: There are two Masses on Ash Wednesday (9.30am and 11.00am), if you have not yet booked, a place, please email or call the Parish Office.

Do you know anyone who needs support; physically, emotionally or spiritually? Please contact Fr David on 01376 326779 or email: [email protected].

  • Thank you for your continuing support during the Coronavirus crisis. Foodbanks within the Trussell Trust network have seen unprecedented increases across our network and by continuing to support us with your

donations you are continuing to support those most in need. We are very thankful for any donations you can give.

    We currently need:

    Food Items:

    UHT long life milk

    Other Essentials: Hair conditioner

    Shampoo

Our food parcels are made up of specific food groups so that those in need have enough food for at least nine meals.

The list above shows what we are in need of as we currently have

good stocks of pasta, pasta sauce, biscuits, rice, fish, soup, baby food and cereals.

We also ask for small packs of food as larger packs do not fit in our

parcels, making it difficult for our clients to carry home.

Thank you We are grateful for your donations to the Braintree Area foodbank.

However, we can only accept donations of freshly-bought, unopened and undamaged goods which are still well within their “use by” date

(no less than 6 months). We cannot use items which do not meet these requirements, and the donation is wasted.

  • Who we are

We are an established children's charity delivering vital mental health and emotional wellbeing services in schools across Essex and East London.

Our diverse school team is made up of both Counsellors and Social Workers who provide support services for over 1,600 new children each year and at any one time, will be caring for around 3,500 children. These children may be experiencing all manner of hardship - from bullying, abuse, bereavement and anxiety, to compulsive and eating disorders, low self-esteem, self-harm and exam stress.

We employ only qualified and dedicated Counsellors and Social Workers to care for these children, which enables us to support almost any problem that might arise without delay. We work in partnership with over 100 schools and provide our service on site at school. Our unique approach is to intervene as soon as problems are identified and work with the child and their family for as long as it takes to put things right.

Our biggest undertaking is the one-to-one work we do in schools with children. However, this is not right for every child and we are now in a position to widen the suite of services we offer.

We also provide therapeutic support to children, young people and families in our dedicated counselling suites in our premises in Rayleigh, Essex. For further information please go to our Self-Referral section.

As an extension to our services, we also provide expert training and supervision to teaching staff as well as specialist support to parents for developing skills to enhance the wellbeing of children and young people.

Please go to Our Services for further details about our work and how we can help.

  • GLORIA Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to people of good will. We praise you, we bless you, we adore you, we glorify you, we give you thanks for your great glory Lord God, heavenly King, O God, almighty Father. Lord Jesus Christ, Only Begotten Son, Lord God, Lamb of God, Son of the Father, you take away the sins of the world, have mercy on us; you take away the sins of the world, receive our prayer; you are seated at the right hand of the Father, have mercy on us.

For you alone are the Holy One, you alone are the Lord, you alone are the Most High, Jesus Christ, with the Holy Spirit, in the glory of God the Father. Amen.

    RESPONSE TO THE PSALM

You are my refuge, O Lord; you fill me with the joy of salvation.

    GOSPEL ACCLAMATION

Alleluia, alleluia! Mat the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ enlighten the eyes of our mind, so that we can see what hope his call holds for us. Alleluia!

  • PROFESSION OF FAITH I believe in one God, the Father almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all things visible and invisible. I believe in one Lord Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten Son of God, born of the Father before all ages. God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God, begotten, not made, consubstantial with the Father; through him all things were made. For us men and for our salvation he came down from heaven, and by the Holy Spirit was incarnate of the Virgin Mary, and became man. For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate, he suffered death and was buried, and rose again on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures. He ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead and his kingdom will have no end. I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father [and the Son], who with the Father and the Son is adored and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. I believe in one, holy, catholic and apostolic Church. I confess one Baptism for the forgiveness of sins and I look forward to the resurrection of the dead and the life of the world to come. Amen. THE MYSTERY OF FAITH We proclaim your Death, O Lord, and profess your Resurrection until you come again.
