For us at Our Lady of the Rosary it also marks the historic event of the dedication of our beautiful new church. It is impossible to thank everyone involved personally, but I would like to put on record thanks to a few people who have dreamed, prayed, worked, and given of their time, talent, and treasure to make the new church a reality. Paul Bricco was baptized at Our Lady of the Rosary. He and his family have been members from the earliest days of the parish. Paul was one of the first people to contact me after the Bishop asked me to come to Our Lady of the Rosary. We met for coffee and he said the parish wanted to build a new church and what did I think? I said it sounded like a grand idea and things have moved forward from there. From that time Paul has been a tireless chairman of the Building Committee. He has kept the paperwork, done the correspondence, followed up the details, and done an enormous amount of work. He deserves huge credit for this great accomplishment! We must also thank the other members of the Building Committee who contributed their professional expertise, contacts, and knowledge. John Tully and Sid Tate have also contributed an amazing amount of their time and ingenuity and hard work organizing our capital campaign. They were assisted by Bob VanNorden who is the chairman of our Finance Committee and John and Anne Sokol who managed the financial records. We could not have built this church without them and all those who helped with the administration and finance of this project. Also behind the scenes, Deacon Richard Ballard has supported, prayed, organized, and helped with many administrative details. Katie Orbon and Beth Jones have assisted him to help get things together and make all run smoothly. We must also thank all the members of the parish who have caught the dream and opened their minds, their hearts, and their wallets to make our new church a reality. Thank you for believing in this project. Thank you for your generosity and support. The fact that we have done this with no major objections, division, strife, or complaining is testimony to the wonderful spirit of cooperation, faith, and energy at Our Lady of the Rosary. As St Mother Teresa would say, “We have done something beautiful for God!” May His name be praised for this is done to His glory, for the sake of the gospel of Jesus Christ the Lord and in honor of His Blessed Mother under the glorious title Our Lady of the Rosary. Lord God,

I sense your power, your might

and I stand in awe, painfully aware

of how poor and weak I am before

you.

As I begin this Advent journey,

teach me to turn to you in my fear

and sorrow.

I don't want to keep making my

heart hard against you

turning a deaf ear to your

invitation.

Only you can help me to soften,

to be like the clay in your gentle

potter's hands.
