Dates to Remember

Religious Education Registration for the 2013-2014 school year has been ongoing and there is little time left. Forms are available on our website and at the rectory. If you have not registered your child/children yet, please do so as soon as possible.

Are you a registered parishioner? Occasionally there is a misunderstanding about Parish Registration; every family should be properly registered by filling out a Parish Census Form. If you do not receive collection envelopes in the mail, chances are, you are not “officially” registered. Forms are available at the rectory, or you can get started by filling out the form on page 5 of this publication and dropping it in the collection basket. It’s that easy! All personal information is always kept confidential.

Archbishop’s Annual Appeal --- Making a Difference Last month, in the Cathedral Basilica of the Sacred Heart in Newark, Archbishop Myers ordained eight men to the Priest-hood and eleven men as transitional Deacons for service to the Church of Newark. Transitional deacons serve in parish-es for one year before they are ordained to the priesthood. While many dioceses in the United States have no candi-dates for the priesthood and clergy shortages are wide-spread, the Archdiocese of Newark is blessed with several men each year who are willing to answer God’s call to serve, insuring that the Church will be present for future genera-tions. The seminary training and formation of our new priests is funded primarily by the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal. Thank you for your support of the Archbishop’s Annual Ap-peal which makes educating our future priests a reality!
