2014 Archbishop’s Annual Appeal This year the theme of the Appeal is When I Called, You Answered. It comes from Psalm 138 where the psalmist thanks God for hearing his prayer. God calls us also and we answer in many ways. The Archbishops Annual Ap-peal (AAA) is one way God calls and our participation is our answer to Him. The AAA provides the poor with food, shelter and clothing; makes religious education, spiritual guidance and CYO athletics available for the young; en-sures the future leadership of the Church with seminarian education and training; and most importantly, brings Christ’s Good News to the people of the Archdiocese. Supporting the Archbishop’s Annual Appeal is our thanks to God for hearing our prayers. Pencils and AAA enve-lopes will be located in the church pews and in the back of the church. Thank you.

Catholic Radio Now on the Air in NJ Relevant Radio, the nation's largest Catholic Radio network, has now brought Catholic broadcasting to the New Jersey-New York-Connecticut area on WNSW - 1430 AM. WNSW brings to the area 24-hour-a-day,

seven-day-a-week coverage of Catholic news, opinions, catechesis and information. Many of its signature shows -- Morning Air, Go Ask Your Father, On Call with Wendy Wiese and The Drew Mariani Show -- are call-in programs that bring to listeners a clear and con-sistent Catholic message to benefit not only Catholic peo-ple, but people of all faiths, helping them to understand the Catholic faith more fully and share it with others. The Archdiocese of Newark has been instrumental in bringing this new source of Catholic information to the area, and we invite everyone to tune in to WNSW-AM 1430 every day for in-formative and entertaining Catholic viewpoints on today's issues of importance, and clear understanding of Catholic teaching and tradition. www.relevantradio.com

26th Sunday in Ordinary Time “Son, go out and work in the vine-yard today.” ~ Matthew 21:28 Christian discipleship is not easy, God never promised it would be. But, what He did promise is that if we put Him first in all things, He will provide all that we need. Through our daily decisions we have the opportunity to generously share our gifts and help those who may not be in position to help themselves.

Word of Life “When God created each of us, He did so with precision and purpose, and He looks on each of us with love that cannot be outdone in intensity or tenderness.” ~2014 Respect Life Program flyer,
