ABOUT KEVIN Kevin “Otis” Green was 22 years old when he died in June of 2013 in an automobile accident. He had graduated from the University of Wisconsin Madison in May of 2013 and was about to begin a career for a major online retailer. During his time in Madison, “Otis”, as his family and friends affectionately knew him, had become a dedicated member of the UW Football family through his involvement as a student football manager for the Badgers. From practice at Camp Randall to the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Otis exemplified the heart, determination and loyalty to be part of a winning team. Otis was also a ‘modest leader’ off the field who demonstrated his leadership abilities through his long-time employment as a Pier Manager at Gordy’s Lakefront Marine in Fontana, Wisconsin. ABOUT THE FOUNDATION Established by Otis’ family and friends within the Marian Central Catholic High School Community, the Gordy’s Lakefront Marine organization and the UW-Madison Football program, the Otis Green Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for educational purposes to recognize and provide financial assistance to a student football manager at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The student football manager selected will closely demonstrate Otis’ personal characteristics, work ethic and loyalty to the UW-Madison Football team and his/her UW-Madison Football Student Manager peers. ABOUT THE SCHOLARSHIP The Student Manager chosen as the recipient of the Otis Green Football Student Manager Scholarship will exemplify Kevin’s leadership, work ethic and dedication to academic scholastic achievement and loyalty to teammates, coaches and the UW-Madison Football Student Manager program. Above all, the recipient must demonstrate a commitment to and respect of personal relationships and the importance of working together as a team.
