Why?

New cycle users face many challenges in UK:

Poor infrastructure, traffic hostility

Confidence cycling (address with training)

Cultural/identity issues: not yet mainstream

Lack of static IDs – unique numbers for features change – potential issue for the future

Lack of quality control: makes harder to engageLocal Authorities

Coverage not uniform

Vandalism a concern for some

Ability to engage local mappers when an area is deficient
