The PDK Poll of the Public’s Attitudes Toward the Public Schools has been a trusted and independent source of information since 1969.
The poll occurs each May with results published in the September issue of Kappanmagazine.
The PDK poll is financed solely by the PDK Educational Foundation, which permits PDK to offer an independent and unbiased report of American public opinion.

MethodologyThe 2016 poll was designed, managed, analyzed, and reported by Langer Research Associates of New York, N.Y.
• Random-‐digit-‐dialed telephone survey• 1,221 adults interviewed between April 27 and May 10,
2016• Margin of sampling error — Plus or minus 3.5
percentage points for the full sample, larger for subgroups
