The Service will be held at the Silver Lake Presbyterian Church this year. St. Brigid Parish will provide the guest homilist. All St. Brigid Parishioners are welcome to attend. ALTAR & ROSARY MEETING/CHRISTMAS PARTY The Altar &Rosary Society will meet on Wednesday, December 10th at 6:00PM at Neumann Hall. ALL YOU CAN EAT BREAKFAST The Little Meadows Fire Company will hold an all you can eat breakfast NEXT Sunday, November 30th, from 7AM to 11AM, at Whitetails Bar, Little Meadows. Price is $8.00 adult $4.00 children. Benefits the Little Meadows Fire Company. Breakfast includes pancakes, scrambled eggs, French toast, bacon, sausage gravy with biscuits, home fries, baked goods, and beverages. All are invited to attend and enjoy a delicious breakfast!

BREAKFAST WITH SANTA

The Silver Lake Volunteer Fire Company will host a “Breakfast with Santa” on Saturday, December 6th, from 9 to 11AM. Bring the kids b to get their picture taken with Santa, have some breakfast treats and get a gift from Santa. All are welcome—free to all. We will also be accepting donations for the Food Pantry that day. Breakfast will be at the SLVFC Station 1 on Quaker Lake Road, Brackney. THANKSGIVING GIFT CARDS AND/OR FOOD PANTRY Thank you to everyone who donated so generously to the Thanksgiving Gift Cards and Food Pantry. Thanks to your generosity many families in our area will enjoy a beautiful Thanksgiving Dinner.

CHRISTMAS GIFT CARDS AND/OR FOOD PANTRY If you know anyone who needs a CHRISTMAS FOOD BASKET, please call Rosalynd Perlick-Spencer (570-663-2212), as soon as possible. Donations of ham or money to purchase ham would be appreciated. We also have (14) area families ranging in size from 1 person to 5 people, on our list to receive FOOD CARDS. If you know of anyone that needs help, please let us know by December 15th. If you have put someone on the list in the past and they no longer need help, please let us know. Donations for both Food Cards & Food Pantry are needed by no later than December 19th. All donations for FOOD CARDS or TURKEYS for the FOOD BASKETS should be put in an envelope in the collection and marked “Attention Kay”. All donations are greatly appreciated.

SPECIAL COLLECTIONS FOR THE CHRISTMAS SEASON Our Parish is participating special collections for the upcoming Christmas Season. We ask for your help in reaching our goals for these collections.

The first is collecting 250 boxes of Hot Chocolate Mix for the Susquehanna County Christmas Bureau. This group provides the ingredients for Christmas Dinner for low income families in Susquehanna County. A box is in the back of the Church for these donations. The deadline for donations is Monday, December 8th. (Hot Chocolate Mix is available at the Dollar stores at better prices than the grocery stores.) WE STILL NEED 125 BOXES OF HOT CHOCOLATE.

Second is to collect men’s and women’s disposable razors to go to the St. Francis of Assisi Kitchen in Scranton. These are added to shoe boxes full of other toiletry articles given to guests at the Kitchen. These donations are needed by Monday, December 1st. (300 razors are needed.) WE ARE STILL IN NEED OF 150 RAZORS.

BENEFIT FOR MOM’S HOUSE A Barnes & Noble Book Fair will be held on Saturday, November 22nd from 9:00AM to 10:00PM at the Town Square Mall, Vestal. STAR OF BETHLEHEM ~ MOVIE The STAR OF BETHLEHEM MOVIE will be shown at the Kopernik Observatory & Science Center, 698 Underwood Road, Vestal, Friday, December 5th. This fascinating documentary unlocks the mystery of the Star of Bethlehem by relating scientific knowledge about astronomy and historical clues from the bible. “KEEPING CHRIST IN CHRISTMAS” December 5th, at 5PM, the 6th annual "Keeping Christ in Christmas" by the singing of Christmas hymns at the public Nativity display on the lawn of the Luzerne County Courthouse, Wilkes-Barre. We will gather by candlelight around the Manger scene on the Courthouse lawn before proceeding inside to the Courthouse rotunda for the 6PM annual lighting of the Christmas tree festivities, entertainment, and refreshments. All are invited to participate.
