Dear Brothers and Sisters,

It is hard to believe that we are already halfway through the month of November — it will be Christmas before we know it!

This week we continue celebrating our Novena in honor of Our Lady of El Quinche. Next Sunday, we will celebrate a special Mass in honor of Our Lady of El Quinche at 11:00am, followed by a Procession through the streets of our parish. Please join us!

As Thanksgiving Day approaches, I am happy to announce that we will return to our tradition of having a Parish Luncheon following the Thanksgiving Day Mass. All are welcome to join us for Mass at 10:00am, followed by lunch in the auditorium. Many thanks to the Unidos en Cristo Prayer Group as well as the Knights of Columbus for all the hard work they are doing preparing everything for the lunch!

Advent is right around the corner! This week’s bulletin has lots of information regarding the many activities taking place in our parish during the Holy Season Advent. We will be praying Solemn Vespers every Sunday during Advent at 4:00pm. We will have the joy of welcoming a different priest every Sunday as our guest celebrant and homilist. I invite you to come back to church on Sunday evenings during Advent and join us as we pray together the Liturgy of the Hours; the solemn chanting of the psalms is always a delight!

Parece mentira que ya estamos a mitad del mes de noviembre; ¡será Navidad antes de que nos demos cuenta!

Esta semana seguimos celebrando nuestra Novena en honor a Nuestra Señora del Quinche. El próximo domingo celebraremos una Misa especial en honor a Nuestra Señora del Quinche a las 11:00am, seguida de una Procesión por las calles de nuestro barrio. ¡Acompáñenos!

A medida que se acerca el Día de Acción de Gracias, me complace anunciar que volveremos a nuestra tradición de tener un Almuerzo Parroquial después de la Misa del Día de Acción de Gracias. Todos son bienvenidos a la Santa Misa esa mañana a las 10:00am, seguida de un almuerzo en el auditorio. ¡Muchas gracias a los Hermanos Unidos en Cristo, así como a los Caballeros de Colón por todo el arduo trabajo que están haciendo preparando todo para el almuerzo!

¡El Adviento está a la vuelta de la esquina! El boletín de esta semana tiene mucha información sobre las muchas actividades que se llevaran a cabo en nuestra parroquia durante la Temporada Santa de Adviento. Vamos a rezar las Vísperas Solemnemente todos los domingos durante el Adviento a las 4:00pm. Tendremos la alegría de darle la bienvenida a un sacerdote diferente cada domingo como nuestro celebrante y homilista. Los invito a regresar a la iglesia los domingos en la tarde durante el Adviento y unirse a nosotros mientras rezamos juntos la Liturgia de las Horas; ¡el canto solemne de los salmos es siempre un deleite!
