North Mymms Park is a Grade 1 listed Elizabethan Mansion in Parkland setting. Despite extensive restorations over the past 100 years, it has

retained much of its original external appearance. With a fascinating history dating back to the 16th century, the current house is stunning

example of Elizabethan architecture. Reached by a sweeping drive, this impressive grade 1 Elizabethan Mansion house has a host of period

features including an ornate fireplace dating from 1515.

North Mymms Park is the original Manor of North Mymms from which the smaller Manors of Brookmans, Gobions, Potterells and possibly

Parsonage became separated in the late 13th century. Simon Swanland, a wealthy London merchant, first became the owner of this original

portion and two of the sub divided manors in 1316, the Church (except the tower) was built which still exists today. North Mymms Park

was probably built sometime after 1582 but before 1603 either by Sir Henry Coningsby or his son Sir Ralph, who was appointed sheriff of

Hertfordshire in 1596.

1 – Are you licensed to hold civil ceremonies?

North Mymms Park is fully licenced to hold civil ceremonies.

2 – What is included in the hire cost?

As a dry hire venue, the following is included in the dry hire fee: banqueting furniture (Gold Chivari chairs in the Mansion, ivory

Chivari chairs in The pavilion, round tables, trestle tables, poser tables and a cake table). Any external furniture must be hired

by the client. Venue staff and ample car parking.

3 - Do you allow external caterers?

Yes we do permit external caterers subject to all the necessary compliance criteria.

4 – Do you allow fireworks or candles?

Fireworks and candles with naked flames are not permitted within the estate. During mandap ceremonies, a havan flame is

permitted. LED flicker candles are also permitted.

5 - Do you hold two functions on the same day?

North Mymms Park is yours exclusively from 9am until midnight on the day of your wedding. Earlier access can be arranged

with prior approval. Additional charges will apply.

6 – Do you supply any staff on event day?

Yes, the following staff will be provided: a duty manager, security officers and car parking attendants.

North Mymms Park is a stunning venue, both elegant and extravagant in style. From the moment we walked in, we knew this is where we wanted to

hold the Civil Ceremony and Wedding Reception. Having taken a gamble on holding the evening reception in the new marquee which had not yet

gone up, the space did not disappoint.

My family and I were in awe of the whole venue just as much on the day of the wedding, as we were when we first viewed 9 months earlier.

North Mymms Park were brilliant throughout and so easy to work with. They always went the extra mile to ensure any concerns or demands were

met from a very picky Grooms sister! On the day, the North Mymms team took care of everything leaving us completely stress free. There were no

faults. We only wish we could have spent more time in the stunning estate having already been there for the whole day.
