NON-DESTRUCTIVE EXAMINATION TECHNOLOGY Central Piedmont Community College offers an associate degree in Non-destructive Examination (NDE) Technology at its Harper Campus in south Charlotte. The AAS degree in NDE prepares the graduate to meet potential employers’ entry-level employment skills and knowledge requirements in a broad spectrum of light and heavy industries that require the hands-on application of various non-destructive examination methods. Students will obtain knowledge and skills in blueprint reading, mathematical calculation, communication and the ability to interpret codes while learning the importance of attention to detail. Careers for graduates include a wide variety of industries where quality assurance is needed. These include, but are not limited to, aviation, construction, manufacturing, industrial plants, pipelines and railways. Students graduating from the NDE program have earned an average wage of $15 to $22 per hour depending upon the industry in which the student is employed. Central Piedmont Community College offers an associate degree in Non-destructive Examination (NDE)
