“Better Plant Health

and Higher Yields”

The Promise

When applied to V5 to V6 corn, ProAct® increases yields ~

85% of the time.

Data represents a compilation of all PHC and university replicated trials, farmer strip trials, and whole-field farmer comparisons. All PHC replicated trials consisted of 8 reps/location.

● Isn’t necessary to produce a crop ● Isn’t recommended by university extension services●Produces few visual differences ●Requires untreated comparisons to determine efficacy●Lacks credibility with farmers

“Will it work consistently enough for me to get a positive return on my investment, and if so, how will I know?”

Even though ProAct® delivers yield increases more than 80% of the time, it:

“Will it work consistently enough for me to get a positive return on my investment, and if so, how will I know?”

Even though my fungicide delivers yield increases more than 80% of the time, it:

The Problem

Page 8: No Gain No Pain Program Presentation

● STOP selling “ProAct®”

● START selling “Higher Yields”

● MAKE all applications using GPS-equipped machinery to document treated and untreated sections of every field.

● MEASURE harvested yields of treated and untreated sections using GPS-equipped yield monitors.

● CHARGE farmers only when “Higher Yields are “proved” by farmer’s own yield monitor data.

The Proposal

Page 9: No Gain No Pain Program Presentation

● Spray ProAct on V5/V6 corn via custom application.● (Leave untreated check areas in each treated field.)

● Use geo-referenced yield monitor to record yield

● Submit yield & spray data for AgVeritas® analysis of treated vs untreated yields

● All expense deferred until after harvest

● Yield difference between treated & untreated determines post-harvest price/acre.

The Program

Page 10: No Gain No Pain Program Presentation

● PHC provides ProAct for all treated acres at no-charge to farmer

● ProAct applied by Custom Applicator

● PHC pays for custom application, SUBJECT to receipt of application data from applicator. (Farmer NEVER pays for custom application.)

● Farmer invoiced ONLY for applicator-sprayed acres

● ProAct yield advantage has to be at least 2 bu/acre or farmer pays nothing.

● Yield monitor data analyzed by AgVeritas to determine difference between treated and untreated areas

● Price per acre determined by difference in yield versus untreated check.

● Farmer pays AFTER HARVEST on field-by-field basis.

The Process

Page 11: No Gain No Pain Program Presentation

• If average treated yield not at least 2 bu/acre more than untreated average, price is ZERO.

• If average treated yield is 2 bu/acre or more than untreated, price is ½ of value created from the extra yield, up to a MAX price of $22.50/acre.

• NEVER spend more than ½ the cost of the of the value created from the incremental yield.

The Price

Page 12: No Gain No Pain Program Presentation

1. For the purpose of determining the incremental value produced as a consequence of having treated my field(s) in conjunction with the No

Gain? No Pain! program, the base value per bushel of harvested corn yield will be the same as the SPRING value that will be established and used by the USDA Risk Management Association in association with the Commodity Exchange Price Provision for Federal Crop Insurance Yield Protection in Iowa for corn planted in 2014.

For all the acres treated under this agreement, I understand and commit to the following terms and conditions:

$4.62/bushel
