OBJECTIVES

•To help children learn about farm life.•To create a realization about the importance of cooperation in family.•To encourage them to be responsible family members and citizens. •To improve their skills as readers through distingushing the story elements.

This is Fred’s farm. Fred has got a big

farm.

This is his wife,Fiona.

They are farmers.Fred and Fiona love working on their farm.

These are their chidren,Fanny and Flora. Fanny and Flora are very lazy.

They like sleeping very much.

One morning…

Fred: Hey kids! Get up! It’s 6 o’clock.

Fanny and Flora: But dad, we don’t like getting up early.

Fred: Hey kids ! Water the vegetables !

Fanny and Flora: But dad, we don’t like watering the vegetables.

Fred : Hey kids ! Feed the animals !

Fanny and Flora: But dad,we don’t like feeding the

animals.

Fred: Hey kids! Milk the cow!

Fanny and Flora: But dad,we don’t like milking the cow.

Fred: Hey kids ! Collect the eggs !

Fanny and Flora: But dad,we don’t like collecting the

eggs.

Now, the family is at the breakfast table.

Fanny and Flora: Tomatoes and cucumbers,please!

Fred and Fıona: We haven’t got

any.

Fanny and Flora:

Milk,please!

Fred and Fıona: We haven’t got any.

Fanny and Flora:

Eggs, please!

Fred and Fıona: We haven’t got any.

Fanny and Flora:. But,we’re very hungry

Fred and Fıona: Sorry, kids. No pain, No gain !
