Principal’s Report  The last few weeks have been very busy and I appreciate the support of our families with the many events that occurred. The 50th Celebration was casual and enjoyable. Visitors included our current families and students and Principals from previous years. I enjoyed hearing the many stories about the rich history of Toongabbie East PS.   I wish our Year 6 students the very best as they transition into High School and thank them for their maturity at the Year 6 Farewell and leadership throughout the year.  To our families, may your holiday season be safe and enjoyable. Good wishes to the families and students moving on and I am happy to be welcoming many new families to our school community in the New Year. Stay Safe. 

Miss Colleen Potter Principal        50th Year Celebration Our school community celebrated the 50th year of Toongabbie East Public School on Friday 25th November, 2016 with displays and a school tour. The time given by visitors to attend and share their stories was most valued.   Stage 3 Fun Fair Day Congratulations Stage 3! Our K‐4 students enjoyed a fun‐filled afternoon of face‐painting and nail art AND raised $124 that was used to fund the Yr6 students at their Farewell Dinner. Great Effort TEPS! 

Final Combined Scripture Our students participated in a whole school scripture assembly provided by Quiz Worx performers. Many thanks to our scripture teachers who organised the event. Merry Christmas! 

K‐6 Disco  There were lots of smiles and fancy moves at our end of year disco. The hotdogs from Hot Didely Dogs were delicious – some students even went back for seconds! We celebrated our Year 6 students and shared their cake which was generously donated by the P&C – yum!

Presentation Day So many wonderful achievements were recognised during the end of year Presentation Day Assembly. Congratulations to all of the award recipients. Although the weather was hot, our students were respectful and patience throughout the presentations. Each class item was a small insight into the learning that has been happening this year. Thank you teachers for your support and many thanks to our families for their attendance, we value your participation.   

“Keeping Children Safe” We thank the Parramatta/Holroyd Family Support and Uniting Burnside for once again allowing our school to host parent workshops in Term 4. Please take note of further workshops that will be available in 2017.
