Principal’s Report Welcome to our new, paper saving newsletter format. The next issue will be distributed to the youngest member of each family (determined by our survey results). This week we welcomed our new 2017 Kindergarten students to their first Transition To School session and it was a very successful, fun and informative time for the children and their families. A hearty thank you to the P&C for providing the Sausage Sizzle and ice‐blocks for our school last week. It was delicious! And the Year 6 students raised $82 from the soft drink sales to contribute to their Year 6 Farewell Dinner.

New Phone System The phone system at Toongabbie East is out‐dated and no longer supported under warranty or service agreements. Later this term a new system will be installed school‐wide, which will see an improvement in directing phone calls to the correct location and a clear menu choice for callers. Currently one of the phone lines into the school has failed and we ask for your patience until it can be repaired on Monday.
School Photos have arrived Your child’s school photo has been delivered to the school and will be sent home with this newsletter. If you would like to order any more photos or family photos please see the office for an online order form. Royal lifesaving K‐2 Workshop Students enjoyed learning about how to be safe near water during their workshop. We have already booked another workshop for 2017.
