Is There Anyone Hearing Me?!

“Is There Anyone Hearing Me?!” is a

multilateral partnership school project,

approved and financed by the European

Commission within LLP, the Comenius

subsectoral programme, and brings

together six European schools from

Turkey, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria,

Spain, and Greece.

The variety of schools involved in the

project reflects the diversity within the

European Union.

It is a clear fact that there is nowhere to

live but Earth and the careless human

beings have severely depleted the world

of its natural resources. We,the partners,

know this fact. Earth calls for our help,

and our partnership will give an answer

to this call. Thanks to this partnership,

we can reach a lot of people from

different cultures, from different countries

and raise their awareness of

environmental problems. And by using

education and applying the problem

solving method to environmental

education, we will have achieved the

aim of this partnership.

Moreover,partners will see each

others’ countries,people,cultures and

eleminate their bias towards one

another and brotherhood will be

established among partners. Of

course, we are six partners and each

of us has different life

styles,economical and educational

advantages and so the lower ones will

take examples from the upper

ones. The last but not the least

important area of our concern with

this partnership is that each country

has a chance to see their partners’

educational curriculum,and if there

are differences and plus points,they

can use them in their syllabuses .

Shortly, our partnership sets up

bridges among different cultures and

shows the world that we are similar

and we all need to do something for

Objectives of the Project1.We regret to say that our world has become a rubbish dump. World needs our help! It is calling us .Through this project we want to answer back to this wake up call and to let the people know about it. In short, we want to make people pay attention to us. This waking up will begin with us, then spread to as many people as we can reach. (From class to world)2.The second aim of our Project is to raise people’s awareness of the existence of severe environmental problems and, by getting involved in the project activities, to let young generation struggle for their world and their future. That is,we will have shown that we cannot be silent to environmental contamination, pollution and depletion.3.The third aim is to ensure access to information on the protection of the environment and thus the students will be more concerned and preoccupied with this burning issue.

4.The next objective is to promote the most efficient measures that can be taken in order to protect the environment, the reduction of pollution levels both at the local level and at the international level. These measures will lead to the maintainance of the best quality of life and the fostering of health. 5.Moreover, thanks to this Project, we can get to know other cultures and others can learn about ours. We can discover “the team spirit” and show how different cultures work together for their future. In short, we want to be an example for other nations. 6.Promoting the study of the English language is another objective. The cooperation between the students and the teachers involved in the project will lead to the improvement of both the productive and receptive skills;7.Another aim is to foster learning through cooperation and to improve knowledge concerning the computer skills and the

Kirikkale Meeting

Our first project meeting took place between 26th and 31st October 2008 at Ismail Ustuner Ilkogretim Okulu, Kirikkale, Turkey.

It was a great opportunity to meet peers from all six partner schools, share ideas, plan our future work in detail, visit our Turkish partner school and learn about their local culture.

Our partners welcomed us warmly and offered us a wonderful staying there.

We met the Turkish pupils, talked together, sang together, attended some classes in order to get to know about their educational system.
