Letter from the President
Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Holidays! This is a month of special celebrations for Arts in Bartlett. We have several open houses still on tap for our new Center for the Arts in the Town Center: on Decem-ber 9th, with a Ribbon Cutting Chamber After-Hours, and on the 11th, before our Holiday Party. We are so excited about our Center for the Arts, and want you and your friends to come see it.
It still needs some supplies, lighting, sound system, and we are in need of funds to make other improvements. Now, more than ever, we are in need of your support and generosity. If you haven’t done so yet, please invest by participating in our 12x12x12 fundraising campaign. Our goal is to have everyone participate with a donation to Arts in Bartlett. Can you give $12 by the end of the 12th month (December) for our 12th anni-versary, or a $12x12 donation of $144, which will cover your 2015 dues at the highest level of Sustaining Membership? Our goal is to exceed $2,000 in donations by our 12th Anniversary. Send a check to Arts in Bartlett or go to our website www.artsinbartlett.org to the New Arts Center page and find the Donate but-ton to make your selection. Wouldn’t it be wonderful if we can surpass the goal by the December anniver-sary? I am sure we can do it! Enhancing the cultural arts in Bartlett is so important to enrich the lives of its residents.
It’s still our membership that sustains Arts in Bartlett, a volunteer-run arts council, so please continue to support us with your membership and invite new individuals, organizations and businesses to join. It is this grassroots advocacy that grows the arts!
We are hoping to expand our volunteers to increase the days and times we man the gallery. It is a good opportunity to talk to visitors about our artists and educate them on what Arts in Bartlett is all about. Training is available. Teens who need service hours are welcome. Just contact us at [email protected] or call Cecilia at 630-372-4152.
We really need our membership’s input and brainstorming on fundraising, sponsorships, membership drives, programming and more. All Arts in Bartlett members are invited to come to the next Board meeting on December 29 at 6:30pm in the Log Cabin. We hope that you feel an investment to bring more arts to Bartlett, volunteer to join a committee, attend our events, and spread the news about Arts in Bartlett, a vibrant arts council!
Thanks!

Arts in Bartlett continues 12x12x12 Campaign
T hank you to those who have already contributed to the 12x12x12 campaign. Those names are listed on the last page of this newsletter. We are nearly there to the $2,000 goal! As of November 30, we had nearly $1,800. All this money and more is needed to finish needed renovations to our new Arts Center and to buy items from our Wish List: a convection microwave track lighting for the gallery new carpeting for the hallway more lighting for the performance space 2 ADA toilets according to the 2010 state
code ($250 each) kitchen cabinets garbage disposal and much more. This campaign gives all families in Bartlett the chance to participate at whatever level they are comfortable with. Our goal is to reach $2,000 in donations with a one-time donation of at least $12 by the 12th month (December) the end of our 12th year. For those who can give more, we suggest you give $12 a month for a one-time donation of $144, which offers as a bonus a Sustaining Membership until the end of 2015. Or you can choose a gift from our Wish List above. Just send a check to Arts in Bartlett at P.O. Box 8393, Bartlett, IL 60103 or go directly to our website artsinbartlett.org to the New Arts Center page to the Donate button and make your selection. We will recognize all of our donors in a Honor Roll at the Arts Center and at our Annual Holiday and anniversary party December 11.
Shop online & help out your Arts Center
A rts in Bartlett has become an associate of Amazon through their charitable site smile.amazon.com to help raise funds for the new Arts Center. A popular shopping portal for gifts and other items, Amazon has created this easy way to give to nonprofits when you order as usual – same products, same prices, same services. Just go through smile.amazon.com instead of amazon.com to order and Amazon gives Arts in Bartlett 0.5 of the cost of your order. Here’s how it works: Click here to go to smile.amazon.com and select Arts in Bartlett as your charity. (Be sure not to select “Bartlett Arts Council” that is in Tennessee) Then every time you order on this website, it should indicate at the top of the page that you are contributing to Arts in Bartlett. We have also started a “wish list” on smile.amazon for those who would like to give a specific gift. For more information, go to the “About” page on artsinbartlett.org or call 630-372-4152.
