The New York District has set a series of goals for the 2015-2016 service year that we will work diligently to achieve by March 31, 2016. While we have set district goals, it is extremely beneficial for individual clubs to establish concrete, annual goals as well. This is a great way for clubs to pinpoint what is important, focus their efforts, and track success throughout the year. Here are our 2015-2016 district goals:

Total Funds Raised: US$52,000 Total Service Hours: 25,000 hours

Secretary Spotlight

April - Johanna Marie Oasan

May - Gurleen Kaur

June - Katie Lim

Johanna began her term as Club Secretary with a lot of enthusiasm and wanted to help URCKI grow. She has gone far beyond in her secretarial duties, record keeping, and reorganizing her club, as she is working with her club board on a recruitment and retention plan for the upcoming year. She has many new ideas to help URCKI succeed, all while having fun and doing service with her friends.

Gurleen has worked diligently to ensure her club is on track and ready to excel at the start of this coming academic year. She transitioned her club’s records and organized the way they track service hours. Gurleen was one of the first club secretaries to schedule a meeting with me and I had the pleasure of meeting her at RPI Circle K’s Iron Chef fundraiser for the Thirst Project this past spring.

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) Circle K

University of Rochester Circle K (URCKI)

Stony Brook University Katie has excelled far beyond her secretary duties throughout

June. In addition to having an excellent MRF record, she was the only New York Club Secretary to attend Circle K

International Convention (CKIx). Furthermore, Katie has recently stepped up to the position of New York District Club

Building and Resources Committee Chair. Katie is bringing her organization skills and diligence to a much wider scope.
