• The city that is so nice they named it twice
• Once it was called New Amsterdam
New York City
• A city with almost 10,000,000 people
• Five boroughs: Bronx, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens and Staten Island
• Three rivers: Hudson, East and Harlem
New York City
• A famous New York sight is the Statue of Liberty
• It was given to Americans by French people in 1886
• Here is a photo of the statue when it was being built, in Paris

• It is 46m tall but with the pedestal it is 95m
• You can climb to the top and see the view

• Another famous landmark is the Empire State Building
• It is right now the tallest building in New York City
• It has 102 floors

• Once a B-52 airplane hit it, but it still stood

• In the middle of the City there is a huge park, Central Park
• There are lakes, a zoo, two ice-skating rinks and many walking tracks.

• In New York City you can also see the famous Brooklyn Bridge
• Or you can just enjoy its busy streets

• Or you can go to a baseball game of the New York Yankees
