8 – 9 p.m.Matriculation Ceremony Rooke Chapel Lawn (Rain location: Weis Center)This ceremony officially marks the entrance of the Class of 2021 into the Bucknell community. Students receive their class pin and process along a pathway lighted by luminaria through the Christy Mathewson–Memorial Gateway to symbolize their entrance into the University.

1 – 3 p.m. Speak About It McDonnell and Swartz residents report to Weis Center.Speak About It is an educational performance based on students’ life experiences around relationships, sex and alcohol, with the goal of empowering Bucknell students to create and sustain change on campus. The program is performed by five actors with extensive training in sexual assault awareness and prevention who use skits, monologues and dialogue to demonstrate the characteristics of healthy relationships, define consent, show ways to ask for consent and illustrate effective bystander intervention techniques. After the performance, students will participate in a group conversation with their OAs to talk about the messages and information presented.

10 p.m. – midnight VIP Night at Barnes & Noble Shuttles available at Freas HallThe bookstore will open to offer an exclusive shopping night for new students. Stop by and enjoy music, photo-booth fun, refreshments, prize raffles and games. Enter to win a $250 shopping spree at the bookstore. Bookstore staff will help new students find their textbooks in a one-on-one environment or pick up pre-ordered books. You’ll learn about the benefits of rental textbooks, digital books, charging to your B-bill and refund and exchange policies. You can also check out the latest Bucknell merchandise and much more.
