PARENT ORIENTATION THIS SUNDAY5:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. - FELLOWSHIP HALL
If you are the parents of children Kindergarten - 12th Grade, you need to beat Central THIS Sunday for a time to hear about what is in store for our2014-15 school year. We will meet both collectively to hear about opportunities to plug into ourStudent Ministry at Central and meet as individualized programming groups. If you have students in more than one category you can plan to "divide andconquer."
We are also excited about our new Middle School Ministry, which currentlyhas 40+ students involved. Because this group is "transitional," it falls bothwithin the Youth and Children's Ministry. Mrs. Sedji Doxey is helping to getthis ministry up and going. Sedji has followed most of this group since 3year old Sunday School. She has a heart for these children and is excitedabout the opportunity to help grow this ministry. Parents will have anopportunity to hear about plans for this group for the upcoming year. Thisnight will also provide opportunities for forms to be signed that will beneeded throughout the school year. This is a VERY important night. Horsd’oeuvres will be served; Nursery and Childcare will be provided. If you haveany questions, please contact Jim Cain at [email protected] orSabrina Williams at [email protected]. We look forward to seeing youon Sunday night!

WORSHIPLIVE STREAMING FROM THE SANCTUARYI have been asked many times about the possibility
of live streaming the traditional service from the
Sanctuary at 10:55. The answer has always been
that we envisioned doing so from the beginning, and
all that was needed were funds for the equipment
and people committed to operate the equipment on
Sunday mornings. Through generous gifts the
equipment has been purchased and work is
underway to install the cameras in the sanctuary and
run the wiring needed from the sanctuary to our
existing studio on the 3rd floor. If you sit in the
balcony, you may have seen the beginning of the
installation of wire, and cameras will be appearing
soon.
This will make it possible for members and others
who are home bound either for the short term or over
the long term to watch and participate in our 10:55
service each Sunday.
Several people have said that they would be willing
to learn to operate the equipment. Odis Howze, who
has been working with our 8:30 live streaming, has
agreed to help with this service, and to train others in
operating this system. If you would be interested
and are of High School age or older contact Bob
Peden at 601-938-7868 or [email protected] for
more information. Hopefully we will have at least 4
people involved which will mean each person would
serve in this way only once a month.
Incidentally, If there are people who would be willing
to run the equipment during the 9:45 service, then
we could easily stream that service as well.
