To this day, her business concept is comfortable, colorful garments in natural materials with a Nordic design sensibility. But a great deal has happened over the years. For example, Gudrun Sjödén has conscientiously worked with more sustainable and environmentally friendly materials. And her customer base is only getting bigger. The clothing is now sold via the webshop and catalogs to customers in over 70 countries, with Germany, the UK, and the US growing at the fastest pace. Gudrun Sjödén has received many awards as a designer and entrepreneur over the years, such as H.M. the King of Sweden’s Litteris et Artibus Medal and the Elle Magazine Sustainability Prize, and has topped Swedish exports for fashion brands for several years. GUDRUN SJÖDÉN’S FALL COLLECTION 2018 - THE FOREST The forest and nature will be front and center in Gudrun Sjödén’s FALL COLLECTION 2018, which features patterns inspired by the forest, rocky ridges and handicrafts. Materials include lyocell from certified forests in Europe, organic cotton and a recycled wool blend. Everything is combined with the “10 colors” essentials collection and accessories with their own unique designs. Regardless of age or shape, all colorful women of the world will find something here. That has been Gudrun Sjödén’s idea for over 40 years. “Already when I opened my first store in 1976, I wanted to create naturally beautiful garments. This year, fall’s patterns and materials have their roots in nature. We have designed cheerfully splashy colors and subtle hues, inspired by the forest, earth, pine cones and rocky ridges,” says Gudrun Sjödén, CEO, owner and founder. THE FALL LAUNCH REACHES GUDRUN SJÖDÉN’S CUSTOMERS ON July 24, 2018. Gudrun Sjödén is one of Scandinavia’s most successful and unique designers, with sales world- wide. The company now has customers in 70 countries. Sales take place via catalog, e-com- merce and her own stores on seven markets. The webshop accounts for 70% of the company’s sales globally. BOLD BLADES OF GRASS Natural new arrivals, such as the “Slöjda” pattern, were inspired by craftsmanship, bold blades of grass and roots. Simple materials that have been used to make crafts throughout the ages. The “Slöjda” cardigan is made in linen and organic recycled cotton. COLORFUL FALL – 10 COLORS The natural essentials have been expanded to include more wild and splashy colors.
