Document # FRM-MKT-02 Revision ; 1 Different Government officials visited the area to see different activities of Lindi Region including The Tanzania Prime Minister and Arch Bishop Polycarp Pengo and our student were chosen to welcome The Tanzanian Prime Minister Hon Kassim Majaliwa to the main event. 30th October 2018 20th Safar 1440 AH ALMIS / PR / / 2018 NATIONAL MUSEUM OF TANZANIA LINDI CULTURE EVENT Al Muntazir Islamic Seminary was invited to participate on LINDI REGION CULTURAL EVENT which took place from 25th to 28th October, 2018. On Friday 26th October ,2018 Almuntazir Islamic Seminary students (8 Boys and 18 Girls) and 4 teaching staffs visited THE NATIONAL MUSEUM OF TANZANIA (VILLAGE MUSEUM KIJITONYAMA) and students were able to learn different cultural and historical activities from different tribes of lindi Region including Mwela people, Matumbi people, Ngindo people and many more Among other things Student were able to learn: The Students were able to see variety of cultural houses representing different Tanzanian Tribes , including chagga, zaramo,Swahili etc To get information from different Tanzania National parks. Different information from TTCL (Tanzania Telecommunication Company limited) Different cultures of tribes of southern part of Tanzania including o Parental care on southern tribes o How do they teach their kids when they are matured or soon before maturity, o Marriage, o Culture destruction with the advancement of technology o Importance of protecting our culture Tribe administration before independence and during colonialism especially during maji maji war .They insist on unity among ourselves and how they did when they were fighting for their right during maji maji war, how they involves their neighbors to strengthen their unity.They also request the Government fight and bring back some items of Kinjikitile which were sent to Germany during the war.Here we also heard about the history of their Heros during the war and how they fought to make sure that they have their rights. Food processing(Local technology) and the use of grinding stone. Different traditional dances for different seasons of the year.
