The reason why I have chosen this is because it is my preferred type of music and I believe Ill be more eligible to create it other than another type of music magazine. Also I will be more capable to relate to the audience, with what they wish to see featured in a rap magazine; because of my passion for rap music. Also occasionally I purchase and read rap magazines, such as; XXL and Vibe. Therefore, Ill use them as inspiration for my magazine. I plan to use a model who will be closest to the representations of a rap artist, to ensure I follow the conventions of a rap music magazine I also will use fonts that are suitable for rap and that will help the audience know it is a rap music magazine. I also plan to use a close-up camera shot for the main image to show the models serious, fearsome and definitive facial expression, which will give the audience a clear understanding that it is a rap magazine because it will show the viciousness and severity of rap.

Also another reason why is because the font is very bold and defined which shows the maturity and seriousness in rap.

XXL: I can use this magazine as an inspiration for my magazine because they also use a close-up shot of the artist to show that by his facial expression and the way his mouth is wide open to show his gold teeth, which is a representation of rap; because rap is generally practiced by gangsters, who like their jewellery and gold teeth etc. also theyre predominantly black males. Therefore, this magazine perfectly shows the representations of rap.
