-We will include all the typical conventions of afilm poster for example the institutionalinformation will be featured at the bottom of theposter, all other text will be above the centralimage – this will be the title of the film ‘SW 16’ ina urban font and any tag lines/ quotes from the

film. There will also be a star rating and shortreviews.-There will be a grimy, dull, dark colour schemeused throughout a lot like the ‘Shank’ film poster, we will also consider using editing techniques onPhotoshop when producing the poster forexample in the ‘Shank’ poster they have merged

two images.

-We took influence from the way in which this

poster is constructed, when planning our ownfilm poster. We liked the positioning of theimage with it being centralised – and themajority of the text being above.-We plan on our image being similar to thisone, with all of our central characters together,but instead of running just posing (lookingintimidating) in front of the back-drop of oursetting – a Brixton estate. The female will be atthe fore-front of the layout, but standing out wearing posh attire – she will look the most

intimidating and be of high status in the ‘gang’.-The colours are grimy and dull typicalconventions (a syntamatic) choice-We liked the title and font used as they tie in with the grime genre, there is a clever use of image over –lapping the title, which

establishes a trade mark for the film.



-We also took influence from the Kidulthoodposter when planning our own film poster. We liked the positioning of the charactersplaced in the middle to expose the maincharacters and their characteristics.-We plan on our image being similar to thisone, with all of our central characterstogether, yet instead of just posing by a wall(looking intimidating) we have chose toplace our setting of the Brixton estate behind. We have decided to place the female at thefore-front of the layout, standing proudly andtall appearing the most intimidating beingthe most high status in the ‘gang’.

-The colours are grimy and dull which aretypical conventions of a Grime film poster.-The title and font used ties in with the grimegenre through the bold capital letters with a white font contrasted against the darkgloomy background, following the

institutional information below



-We took inspiration from the 4.3.2.1. poster whenplanning our own film poster.-We liked the positioning of the characters placed in

the middle to expose the main characters and theircharacteristics. Also we liked the way the charactersare positioned on or around the Film Title as it seemsas though that number is related to that character.-We plan on our image being similar to this one, withall of our central characters together and surrounding

the Film title which will be in the middle of the poster.However instead of the characters atop thetitle(looking intimidating) we have chose to place oursetting of the Brixton estate, or a desolate park behindthe characters which is similar to this poster with thesetting of the New York bridge in this background.-. We have decided to place the female at the fore-frontof the layout, standing proudly and tall as her originalaristocratic attitude with a twist as she beholds abloody knife behind her back which can foreshadowher future.-The colours are grimy and dull which are typicalconventions of a Grime film poster.

capital letters with a washed outblue, contrasted against the darkgloomy background, following theinstitutional information below.However our Title may take a formof graffiti to give it a grimy streetlook.



• The Main image has also influenced

one of our possible poster choices. Thefact that the main protagonists face isenlarged stands out to the audience inoppose to a poster with a group of people.

• This is useful to our particular film asit is a hybrid congaing some elementsof drama within the overall grimegenre.

• The hybridity of the genre can beshown through the poster by allowing

the background image to adhere to thetypical conventions of grime such as – location with the characters in front .However having the main protagonistsface enlarged suggests more than justgrime and it gives you an insight.
