I have put this information to gather primarily for the Chester Gates

family reunion held BVP,ry year during July or August. Last year 1985 was

the first time I had attended the reunion. I hope to be able to make it an

annual event, because I sure enjoyed last year. I also hope to get to know

some of you better, although I laughed and told someone, that I wasn't look

ing live relatives, only dead ones ••••• Seriously tho, some of the f'a.mily

members that attend this reunion are getting on in years. One day some of

them won' make it.

I hope to put all our family history in book f'orm sometime within the

next three to five years. I am still looking for some information, such as

a marriage record for John Gates, and was he the same man that died in !{. C.

around 1850. ;,;y research on the Jenkins and Stinson families is pretty

TFE MUEIE~WERG COL'J:-?Y HERrrAGE Vol. 9 No. 3 page 27 •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• well complete. Am still researching Cain far1ily, as well as my Sweeney

line, that include families of Whit low, Wells, Dukes and Scarbrouehs. If

you 1mow of anyone connected with these families, please have them contact

me. I need birth, marriage, and death dates, to whom married and names of

children. Your co-operation will be greatly appreciated. vour Cousin
