August 20, 2015 Dear Recruiter, I would like to take this opportunity to submit my resume and express interest in any opened positions within your organization. For the past 7 years I have been the General Manager of the Hilton Garden Inn Clovis until it sold on July 13 th 2015. Where I was the Opening GM and was able to run a successful hotel with a proven track record of maximizing revenue YOY by 8% and push ADR YOY by $10. I also have letters of recommendations’ from the Hilton Worldwide Team the Brand Support Manager and the Pre-Opening Support Manager that assisted me with the opening process. I was laid off due to the new company bringing their own management staff and I now find myself unemployed and looking for my next position where I can continue to sharpen my tools and become an asset to a new hotel/management company. I have overall 22 years of experience in the hospitality industry in which throughout that time I have worked for various brands and have gained knowledge and understanding with each type of lodging: economy, limited service, mid-scale, full service, and extended stay. In addition, I have gained valuable sales experience from exposure to various market segments and working with a variety of guests, catering to their business, leisure, conventional (SMERF) needs. Briefly about myself, as a result from my years of experience I possess qualitative transferable skills in hotel operations and general management. I am committed to giving respect and high quality service to all guests and employees. I possess outstanding interpersonal skills that promotes teamwork, open communication, and a harmonious work environment. I am also a strong and confident leader who is disciplined in situational leadership (directing, coaching, supporting, and delegating). My leadership style has proven to contribute to team member development and advancement; as well as, to the hotel’s financial profitability resulting in increased revenue and net operating income (NOI).
