Business Development Manager Job Description Mowgli Foundation Page 1 of 2 Business Development Manager Reports Directly To: Executive Chairman Reports Indirectly To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Start Date: Immediate GENERAL SUMMARY To significantly move Mowgli towards financial sustainability through “profitable sales” on running programmes focused on entrepreneurs, corporate executives, professionals and MFI’s across the MENA Region through corporates and donors, achieving sponsorship for our activities, and delivering the suit of Mowgli Mentoring Experience (MME) programmes. This will be achieved by leveraging our network of Trustees, empowered partners, strategic partners, alliances, facilitators, alumni of mentors and entrepreneurs. JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To develop and implement strategic and tactical empowered partner, strategic partner, sponsor, facilitator and alumni relationship management and sales plans to support the broader strategic agenda as set out by the CEO, including: - Market Intelligence. Ensure that you are informed of developments within the MENA entrepreneurship ecosystem by visiting the stakeholders in each country on a regular basis. - Opportunity Pipeline. Create, maintain and share an opportunity pipeline of opportunities utilizing Mowgli methodology. - Agreed High Priority Opportunities. Create a “tailor made” sales plan, engage with stakeholders and execute the sales plan. - Proposals Whilst being responsible for creating tailor made proposals, based upon standard templates engage with the CEO/Operations and Programme Manager to get buy in and to ensure that the execution team are informed. - Project Negotiation. Ensure that clear terms of reference (agreed by Executive Chairman and CEO) are provided so that you are empowered to negotiate projects. - The following are the areas of revenue generation that need to be focused upon: o Corporate Mentoring and Entrepreneurship Programme / Entrepreneur & SME Mentoring programmes o Leader Mentoring Training

- Support the Executive Chairman and stakeholders in attracting strategic philanthropy to support Mowgli activities.

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Education: University degree Previous Experience: 10+ years experience in end-to-end sales and relationship management. Start-up experience is desired Language Skills: English and French: Fluent (Spoken, Written and Reading) - Required Arabic: Preferable Computer Skills: High level of computer literacy, especially in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and CRM solutions such as Salesforce Competencies Required: - Managing Complexity - Ability to effectively manage a number of work streams in parallel - Managing Relationships - Ability to gain trusted advisor status with potential customers - Influencing – capability to influence customers - Communication Skills - Taking Ownership, Responsibility and Accountability of Tasks - Time and Priority Management - Creativity / Innovation - Flexibility / Adaptability - Planning / Organizing
