The danalock is made to fit almost any door, but the way it is mounted on the door depends on the door lock.We have devided the dif-ferent door locks in three groups: The EURO, SCANDI, and US door locks.The different door locks can be recognized by these characteristics:

First you have to remove your current door lock. Start on the outside of the door by removing the rosette and the screw. (a)Remember to unscrew the lock-screw in the mortisse-plate at the side of the door. (b)

Remove the rosette and unscrew the remaining screw on the inside of the door. Save the screw for later use.Insert your key and turn it so the cam lines up with the body of the cylinder.Now you can pull out the cylinder.

In the danalock box you’ll find 4 extra lock cylinders. Measure the back part of the cylinder (grey on illustration) with your old cylinder from the middle of the screwhole and away from the tailpiece.Use the one that matches the cylinder you removed from your door. The new cylinder should be the same length or a little shorter than the old one.

In the danalock box there’s 4 different metal back plates.A, B and C is for US deadbolt doors. U is for EURO and SCANDI doors. This is the one you normally use on European doors.

You can mount the backplate in two ways: A: Place the back plate on your door so the tailpiece sticks out from the center hole. Break or cut the cylinder-screws from the danalock package so they fit the distance, and fasten the back plate to the cylinder. Use the two holes beneath the center hole.(c)

Insert one of the screws that originally held the lock, and insert the threaded tube from the danalock package to extend the second screw.

Now you can finally fasten the second screw on the outside of the door.

To avoid damaging the danalock you will have to shorten the new cylinder tailpiece. It should only extend max. 24 mm from the door surface.Use two pliers or a wire cutter to shorten the tailpiece.

First you have to remove the existing thumb turn on the inside of the door.

On some doors it can be helpful to put a piece of tape across the lock on the front of the door to prevent it from falling when the screws are removed.

Many doors have cylinder tailpieces that extends 10 - 24 mm from the doorplate. They will fit the danalock without adjustments!If the tailpiece is less than 10 mm long from the door surface, an extra tailpiece can be found in the danalock box. (Please see the next two illustrations).

Unscrew the cover plate that holds the tailpiece and switch the tailpiece that is too short with a new from the danalock box. Due to varying door thickness, the new tailpiece is often too long.

To avoid damaging the danalock you will have to shorten the new tailpiece. It should only extend max. 24 mm from the door surface.Mark the right length with a pen and use two pliers or a wire cutter to shorten the tailpiece. You can also unscrew the coverplate again and break the tailpiece in a vice.

First you have to remove the existing thumb turn on the inside of the door.

To power up your danalock you first have to remove the top lid from the housing base.Remove the lid gently with a small flat- head screwdriver.

The danalock comes with batteries inserted, but a thin plastic folio guarantees that your new danalock is fully charged.Remove the folio and the danalock lights up with a green light for 5-10 seconds.

Fit the danalock over the backplate. Make sure that the tailpiece hits the slide in the middle of the adaptor.

Fasten the danalock to the back plate by tightening the two umbraco screws on each side of the base with an 1,5 mm Allen key.

8. Create a user 8. Benutzer erstellen

Click the link “Create new user” on the login screen. Create a user and a password.When you have installed the App and logged in, a wizard will guide you through the calibration and adjustments of the danalock.
