INTERNATIONAL COINS FOR FRIENDSHIP Coins for Friendship supports the IEHA Interna onal Program to help create be er understanding, goodwill and friendship between the people of Indiana and other countries.  Contribu on are divided 35% to the ACWW, 15% to the        Exchange Homemaker Program and 50% to the general fund.  

NICKELS FOR LEADERSHIP IEHA leadership development is supported by this fund. All contribu ons stay within Indiana and are used to pay the many excellent speakers at Home & family Conference, schol‐arships for the i‐LEaD Program, District Representa ve training and to send IEHA representa ves to the NVOM conference and other state conferences.

PROGRAMLESSONSUGGESTIONS Stayca ons – Day Trips in Indiana: Most people enjoy traveling, seeing new places, and having new experiences. Where do you go when you want to stay close to home? Where do you go when you want an inexpensive experience? How can we adjust for the sea‐sons? How can we be rejuvenated with stayca ons? Let’s explore the possibili es!  Survival Kit for the Caregiver: Caring for the needs of older adults who are unable to care for themselves is hard. More than 44 million Americans provide care to someone over the age of 50 and most do not feel prepared for this role. Walk away with some ps for the caregiver to use to survive during these challenging mes. 

 Celebrate Your Inner Beauty: Our inner beauty lives within us whether we choose to acknowledge it or not. In today’s world, there seems to be an extreme focus toward outer beauty and many are quick to judge and cri que others without really even knowing them. This workshop encourages par cipants to stop and mindfully focus on the idea that beauty stretches far past our outward appearance and truly comes from within. Looking beyond the surface and acknowledging our inner beauty gives us the power to feel good, recognize our strengths and the posi ve contribu ons we lend to our families, our communi es, and ourselves.  Cooking Under Pressure: Do you own an Electric Programmable Pressure Cooker (EPPC)? Over the last few years, these small appli‐ances have been gaining popularity in home kitchens. Electric Pro‐grammable Pressure Cookers are versa le mul ‐cookers that can do the job of a pressure cooker, slow cooker, rice cooker, steamer, and more. It can save you counter space and money. How can one appliance be a rice cooker and a cake maker at the same  me, you ask? That’s the magic of the appliance, which comes with preset programs that are specifically designed to cook food to perfec on, whether it be a cheesecake, a stew, or oatmeal.

Secrets to Thri y Shopping for Nutri ous Food; Eat be er and spend less. Learn money saving  ps when buying healthy foods while grocery shopping.  The Buzz About Coffee: There’s a lot of buzz about coffee these days. It can be difficult to keep up with claims from the media. Is it good? Is it bad? How much should we drink? Learn about the origin of coffee, recommended intake, as well as the poten al pros and cons of this beloved beverage.  Something I Can Do For The Ones I Love: You love your family. You have spent your life doing things to make their lives easier. You have a will. You have planned your estate. However, there are many decisions that have to be made in the hours before and a er the end of life. What can you do now that will help your family as they make these decisions?  Understanding Hospice: Ge ng the Answers: Each of us make life decisions every day. When it comes to end of life decisions it is important to understand the support and medical care given during the  me surrounding death. Such care does not happen only in the moments before breathing ceases and the heart stops bea ng. Older people o en live with one or more chronic illnesses and need a lot of care for days, weeks, and even months before death. Increasingly, people are choosing hospice care at the end of life. It is important to understand the ap‐proach to care provided by hospice care.  Note: The program lessons listed here are suggestions. Each club can decide which lessons, if any, they would like to present at their club meetings. These lessons will be treated like package lessons. We can send them to you via email or you can pick them up at the office. You can also choose to present a lesson of your own choosing. There are lessons listed on the IEHA website at http://www.ieha-families.org/lessons.php. All lessons will now be entirely up to individual clubs and their needs. Please remember: if you would like copies made for your club, please give the office staff at least a three-day notice to prepare them.
