MMM Australia WA Centre News

Hi Everyone, This month I have been out on two of our MMM projects working alongside other MMM volunteers. I will never get over the feeling of accomplishment that I have after a project is completed - knowing that the work we have just finished is part of extending God’s Kingdom, to see the blessing that it brings to the organisation we serve, to experience the special bond and relationship with fellow brothers and sisters in the Family of God, as we work together. It sure does create everlasting memories. Karen and I would like to thank all our volunteers for the contribution they make to the ministry of MMMAustralia here in the West. Together We Serve. Praise God.

WA Happenings

Kelmscott Baptist Church - “MMM could mean a few different things...e.g. men moving mountains, but then we remember that women also help; and that's how it was erecting a 2.2 high (ft) Steel garrison fence approximately 123 metres long on the north and east boundary of the Kelmscott Baptist Church property. A great job achieved in two lovely sunny days supplied by our heavenly Father. The team led by Ab not only worked hard, but were enthusiastic, good spirited, unified, and there were many laughs and good fun, especially when they were stirring Pastor Milton giving him a hard time. The ladies of the church kept plenty of good food on the table for the Team hot and on time, (with no steroids added or needed).

It was good to see three generations on the job working together. Trevor's father inlaw, Trevor and his son. This really generated the Team! Guess what ? Even Trevor's son's girlfriend was there all the way from New York State USA. She was a great help and now knows kangaroos are just over grown aussie grass hoppers. Our Church wants to say a big thank you, not only for a great job done, but for the willing spirit and the gift of time shared with us. Karen’s Dad, Laurie, made the trek from Scotts Head NSW to visit her here in the West. On arrival we took him around the property and he was impressed but also realised that there were a few unwanted dead trees, overhanging branches and overgrown bush that needed attending to. With trusted chainsaw in one hand and secateurs in the other the job was always going to be a big one, but that did no faze him.

After five days and five trailer loads of green waste to the local refuge dump and enough firewood to keep the home fires burning through a winter, the grounds have taken on a new look. It is amazing the difference a cut and trim will do. Our thanks to Laurie for his efforts.

Upcoming Projects

As we build our contact base of people’s willingness and skills list we are better equipped to respond to the needs of those who call upon us. Feel free to contact the WA Centre at any time so we can provide updated information on how you can be involved in the work of MMM Australia here in WA. Additional National and International Projects can be found at http://www.mmm.org.au/projects/

Halls Creek AOG Church (Oct - Nov 2012) - Internal fit out of cottage. This cottage was built by an MMM team last year and we would like to be able to complete the internal fit out this year. The Northern half of WA will now come under the newly created ministry of MMM Northern Australia operated out of Darwin and headed up by John and Anne Cooper (current State Managers of Queensland), however MMMWA would like to partner with them on this project, so if you have the time to travel north, Trevor would like to hear from you just contact the MMMWA Centre to register your details.

Two additions to the Beard Family

Well for everyone who has asked about how our little grand daughters are going and if we have a picture, here they are. Dannielle Hope Bowman born 03/04/12 (Right) Amelia Elizabeth Hall born 07/05/12 (Left) It is such a joy to be grand parents and these little ones are a real blessing. They spend many hours together and remind us of their mothers when they were little. Both are well and beginning to explore the world they have been brought into.

Opportunities to share the vision of MMM

As a person who receives this newsletter, we know that you are also interested in seeing the ministry and work of MMM Australia grow here in WA. One way in which we can do this, is by visiting churches, prayer and fellowship groups, youth groups or cell groups with an opportunity to share about the work, projects and vision of MMM Australia. Over the years we have been able to make numerous visits and have always enjoyed meeting others who belong to God’s family. May we encourage you to ask the groups and organizations that you belong to, whether they to may like to hear the message of how MMM “Serves those that Serve”.

If you are a Tradie or are skilled in areas of construction MMMWA would like to hear from

you.

MMMWA would like to encourage you to consider giving some of your time to our ministry. We are looking for persons from all areas of construction. If you would like to have a chat about what you could do to for the ministry of MMM call Trevor and together we can explore the possibilities. Just by supplying us with your contact details would allow us to keep you informed of the projects that are planned and the ministries we are helping. There is no obligation only opportunities. We pray regularly that out Heavenly Father will supply us with the resources and people we need for each project, maybe you are that person for the next one.

MMMWA Ladies Ministry Team Craft Day

The next Craft Day is Sat 28th July - Cake Decoration. Why not come and enjoy. Contact Karen at the MMM Centre or Mob 0419 197 695

With the help of an experienced teacher (Beck Florrison) ladies will be learning how to decorate cakes like a professional. Last year there were flowers, little babies and colourful shapes of all sorts. Although not all the cup cakes made it home, some were just too good to say no. The day begins at 3pm with plenty of time for fellowship and learning. Afternoon Tea and a Meal are supplied in the cost of $45. For those who have UFO’s (Unfinished Finished Objects), you are welcome to come and enjoy the day also.
