Since this unfortunate situation could lead to substantial gaps in some of the oral sessions, we have the opportunity to feature timely results in the meeting program. If you have new results that you would like to present, we invite you to submit proposals for supplemental papers. Some of these papers will be chosen for oral presentation at the meeting. Supplemental papers are a feature of the 46th Conference ONLY. This is a one time offer based on our troubled times. It will NOT be offered at any future MMM Conferences. In the event of a withdrawn or “no-show” presentation in an oral session, the session chair may choose to call upon a speaker from a list of supplemental papers for that session. The chairman’s selection will be based upon the speaker’s description of the paper and the paper’s relevance in the session. The selection is solely at the discretion of the session chairman. The speaker must be present when he/she is called upon during the time slot of the withdrawn paper. Submission of a proposal for a supplemental paper does not guarantee that the paper will be chosen for presentation at the meeting. For the convenience of the supplemental speakers, the withdrawn papers will be indicated on the MMM website as they are received and a list of withdrawn papers will be provided to each conference participant at registration. “No shows” cannot be anticipated, but may occur during any oral session. Another special activity associated with the conference will be the social event. This year there will be a half hour boat ride to Tillicum Village on an island in the Puget Sound. Everything is pointing to a meeting that will be active and stimulating. We look forward to seeing all of you in Seattle and chatting at the Bierstube!!!

Call for Post-Deadline Supplemental Papers for the 46th MMM Conference

A few of our international colleagues are now faced with unforeseen travel restrictions as a result of recent tragic events. A limited number of presentations have been withdrawn from the 46th MMM conference. (As a reminder, a manuscript will not be published in the MMM Proceedings unless the paper is presented in person at the meeting by a co-author.) Since this unfortunate situation could lead to substantial gaps in some of the oral sessions, we have the opportunity to feature timely results in the meeting program.
