A longer, softer sense of impact results from the MP-4’s bulging muscle design that extends higher up the clubface – enhancing the renowned feel of its Grain Flow Forged construction. The muscle bulge is most prominent in the scoring irons and reduces down through to the slender long irons – where design emphasis is placed on creating a quick launch and steeper landing angle.

Uniquely, the MP-4’s final profile was created through a combination of CAD design and traditional craftsmanship. Mizuno’s long standing team of master club grinders made minor adjustments by eye to every CAD generated clubhead through the set – before creating MP-4’s master forging moulds.

At address the MP-15 appears every inch the classic Mizuno MP iron – compact with clean lines, designed to enhance both feel and workability. Forged directly inside the 1025E steel framework is a re-engineered Titanium Muscle insert, which maintains thickness behind impact for solid feel, while allowing weight to be shifted to the perimeter to provide “full cavity” forgiveness.

The MP-15’s refined Ti Muscle weighs just 10 grams (replacing 38 grams of steel) – yet its increased curvature and thickness ensure that feel is not sacrificed to achieve off centre stability. A reworked steel framework also ensures that the body and insert work as one to maintain solidity at impact.

The playing profile and head-size of the MP-15 is based on the classic MP-64 – with 10% greater forgiveness created through the use of the Ti insert. As the Ti insert is engineered to create off centre stability rather than launch forgiveness, trajectory is comparable to Mizuno’s more traditional tour irons.

The ‘hollow flow’ concept is a response to the demands of modern golf courses – with longer approaches to tighter pin positions on firm greens. Tour players looking for more vertical landing angles have instigated the move into forgiving equipment tailored to suit a more critical eye.

Refined from the long iron replacements (MP Fli-Hi) established on tour by Luke Donald, the MP-H5 pushes the concept further with a complete flow of hollow and part hollow irons (from 1 iron to PW). By progressing into a full set, the MP-H5 ensures a smooth flow of trajectory, feel and distance control.

The MP-H5 achieves its launch forgiveness while keeping a neat top line and minimal offset – which taper down to relatively compact scoring irons. The overall MP iron proportions are kept

intact, so that a players eye quickly adapts to the slightly increased size.

The MP-H5 can be played as an entire set or blended at any point with more traditional mid/short irons.

A refined teardrop profile – based on the tour grind of short game magician Luke Donald, allows mastery of the ball from a variety of set ups and positions. There are now 25 combinations of loft and bounce – with 2 sole types to suit varying techniques and turf conditions.

Mizuno’s Grain Flow Forged heads combine the softest touch with a backspin rate only possible through the use of loft specific grooves. Mizuno’s Quad Cut Groove concept utilises a wider, shallow groove from 54-62 lofts (to grab softer, partial strikes) and a narrower, deeper configuration from 49-53 degrees (for fuller shots). All grooves are precision CNC milled to ensure exact manufacturing consistency from wedge to wedge.

A new lush Black IP (plated) finish is designed to maintain its looks over time. The alternative white satin finish is also permanent and the ultimate glare resistant option.

The MP-T5 wedges deliver the touch and precision of Mizuno’s renowned Grain Flow Forging construction where it benefits most – around the greens.

The top edge marking, parallel to the face, creates a stronger alignment aid on compact head shapes, than can be achieved with a traditional ‘ball to target’ marking.

Individually engineered masterpieces, the MP Series putters are designed to generate a solid but soft feel and purest of rolls. The MP Series are forged from mild carbon steel, then CNC milled to ensure exact alignment and a flawless profile at address.

The CNC milling process allows the face thickness to be tuned for the perfect feel. A consistent roll is enabled through a further milling process to apply simple score lines to the face.

The MP-A Series also feature a new oversize Winn Grip to reduce hand action through impact.

The MP-A Series putters combine a lush black IP finish, with bevelled white top edge to make their classic shapes easier to align.

The piercing blue JPX-850, first seen on tour in April 2014, uses twin 8 gram weights which can be located on either the central sliding rail, or two lateral slots. With 10 unique settings, players of all head speeds can dial in their perfect launch and spin.

In combination with Mizuno’s Quick Switch shaft release system, the JPX-850 also offers lofts from 7.5 to 11.5 within one head for the ultimate in adjustability.

The PX-850 head is a compact, powerful 440cc and utilises a Hot Metal face and Rebound Crown to maximise ball speeds.

In 2007 Mizuno introduced a sliding weight system called Fast Track – to alter a driver’s draw/fade tendency. Mizuno has now evolved this breakthrough technology to also be able to customise spin rate and launch angle in the JPX-850 – helping all swing speeds achieve maximum possible total yardage.

Designed to flow from any JPX iron set, the JPX Series wedges combine a generous sized face with a wide, smooth sole with subtle relief in the toe and heel for maximum versatility.

Mizuno’s loft specific groove design maximises spin characteristics by featuring a different groove shape and size depending on loft. Deeper, narrow grooves bite into the ball on full shots in the 50-54 degree wedges, while wider and shallower grooves in the 56-60 degree provide extra spin on short or partial shots.

The Mizuno Shaft Optimizer is a real shaft that can be attached to any of Mizuno’s demo heads – when you hit a real golf ball. Within the Optimizer is a series of strain gauges that measures the sequence of forces your swing created. In just 3 swings the Mizuno Shaft Optimizer can measure everything we need to know – without checking or measuring the ball flight.

MEASURE CRITICAL FACTORS

The Optimizer’s screen displays 5 data points that create your Swing DNA. The readings are all taken from the shaft rather than the ball – so there’s no pressure to make perfect contact. Your readings for a pure strike and a miss-hit will be the same. The loads your ‘different’ swings place on the shaft are incredibly consistent.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Lengths / Swingweights- For most iron models Mizuno offer lighter weight heads which can be used to keep the swing weight to a standard

balance for club lengths up to +1/2” longer. Anything longer than that and the swing weight will increase above the recommended balance. (As a rough calculation, every extra 1/2” in length will increase the swingweight by 3 balance points).

- Irons can be built from 1” shorter than standard up to a maximum of 2” longer than standard.- Woods can be built +/- 1” from standard length but the swing weight will increase by 3 points for every +1/2” and

reduce by 3 points for every -1/2”.

Loft and Lie adjustment- Mizuno irons can be adjusted to varying degrees depending on model and material type. In some cases, due to the

softness of our forgings, “craftsman’s” marks on the hosels may result from bending them to the required loft / lie.- Any adjustment to loft will alter the bounce angle on the sole. Making the loft stronger will increase the offset and

reduce the bounce angle.

For possible adjustments to particular models, please refer to the model page on the website.- Iron lofts can be adjusted up to 2 degrees stronger than standard (Note: making the loft stronger will increase the

offset and reduce the bounce angle of the sole). - No loft or lie adjustments can be made to drivers or fairway woods.- No loft angle adjustment is possible for MP-H5, JPX-850, JPX EZ, JPX Wedges, JPX Fli-Hi and Hybrid models.

Grips / Grip thickness- Mizuno fit .580 core grips as standard to all men’s steel shafts.- Grips can be thickened with up to 5 layers of tape (Tour Velvet Midsize is equivalent to about 5 tapes).
