A longer, softer sense of impact results from the MP-4’s bulging muscle design that extends higher up the clubface – enhancing the renowned feel of its Grain Flow Forged construction. The muscle bulge is most prominent in the scoring irons and reduces down through to the slender long irons – where design emphasis is placed on creating a quick launch and steeper landing angle.

Uniquely, the MP-4’s final profile was created through a combination of CAD design and traditional craftsmanship. Mizuno’s long standing team of master club grinders made minor adjustments by eye to every CAD generated clubhead through the set – before creating MP-4’s master forging moulds.

With the shallowest cavity, the MP-64 offers a touch more forgiveness than a traditional blade – with Mizuno’s R&D team focussed on producing the softest, most solid feel possible.

A quest for more feedback led the MP-64 to a thicker, bulging muscle pad behind a wider portion of the clubface. The thicker portion produces the smoother feel that Mizuno’s tour staff recognised from previous muscleback irons.

The smoother look and feel of the MP-64 is complemented by a softer edged, more playable sole shape. While Mizuno’s overall tour grind is maintained, less defined edges produce more consistent turf interaction and distance control.

Long iron cavities are deeper than the MP-64’s predecessor – ensuring that forgiveness is added where needed most.

Cavity depth reduces evenly through the set, until reaching the compact short irons – which are thick and feel orientated.MP-64’s are Grain Flow Forged at Mizuno’s exclusive Hiroshima, Japan facility for exceptional precision – now evident in the 3D Runbird.

The thickness is provided by a lightweight Titanium insert, which is forged directly into the clubhead for a one piece feel.

With weight saved from the middle portion of the clubhead, the MP-59 takes the characteristics of a full cavity design, with stability from off-centre strikes. The thicker material behind impact ensures that centre strikes are rewarded with a solid impact. The MP-59’s centre of gravity also remains close to the clubface – allowing ball strikers to produce controlled draws and fades.

The MP-59 takes the multi material concept further than its award winning predecessor (MP-58). With its Ti weight more central to the clubhead, the MP-59 creates even greater stability from off-centre strikes. This increased stability allows for less offset to be used, improving the iron’s look at address.

A thinner topline and weightier sole is finished with a new sole grind developed with Mizuno’s Tour players through 2011.The MP-59 is available in any custom combination from 3-PW, with MP-H4 (2,3,4,5) available as long iron replacements.

At address the MP-H4 sits comfortably alongside any of the MP iron sets, while the new Grain Flow Forged face and neck ensure the same smooth Mizuno feel at impact.

Unlike a standard MP long iron, the MP-H4’s hollow construction allows greater weight to be placed low and deep within the clubhead. The deeper weight position encourages a high launch angle and softer landing path, for control with longer approach shots. A Grain Flow Forged face, neck and sole create additional face flex to produce higher ball speeds and a noticeable step up in distance.

The MP-H4 long irons are available from 2-5 iron and can be custom fitted to mix with any Mizuno MP iron set.

2014 SPECIAL EDITION: Tour RAW Black for maximum grab and spin.

Feedback from the Tour led Mizuno’s R&D department to create a sole grind with softer edges. The teardrop profile was modified to be more rounded and less punishing on turf interaction. Although overall sole relief was retained, the absence of defined edges allows the MP-T4 to pass through the turf in a more consistent fashion.

A full length slot to the back of the MP-T4 allows mass to be moved both into the sole and upper portion of the blade. Creating a head that pinches the ball easily from the turf, without ballooning in flight.

The MP-T4 produces an elevated level of backspin – possible through Mizuno’s loft specific Quad Cut Groove concept, which uses different groove profiles on different lofts. A wider, shallower groove is used on 56-60 degree models to assist traction on the shorter, partial strikes. Over 50-54 degrees, Quad Cut uses a narrower, deeper configuration, suitable for fuller shots where the ball has a chance

to more fully compress. A high traction CNC milled face adds even more traction.

As with the MP iron line, MP-T4 wedges are Grain Flow Forged at Mizuno’s exclusive Hiroshima facility and can be custom assembled to match a prescribed specification. Two finishes are available – soft Black Nickel and the more durable White Satin chrome plate.

The MP-T4 packs Mizuno’s advantages of Grain Glow Forged feel and distance control into a soft edged, re-worked teardrop profile.

In its lower lofts, the MP-R12 is shaped to progress seamlessly from a standard pitching wedge. From 54 degrees upward, the R-Series takes on a more specialist wedge look, with its C-Grind sole allowing great short range versatility.

With its generous, rounded face profile, The MP-R12 is a throwback to Mizuno’s traditional wedge models. Without a straight leading edge, the R-Series is easy to open up for a variety of shot types. A new taper to the hosel area, reveals a larger portion of the clubface at address.

The R-Series also combines Mizuno’s Quad Cut Groove design and Grain Flow Forged construction for an unmatched combination of butter soft feel and spin control.

A wider, shallower version of Mizuno’s Quad Cut Groove is used on 56-64 degree models to assist traction on the shorter, partial strikes

- where the ball cannot fully compress. Over 50-54 degrees, Quad Cut uses a narrower, deeper configuration, suitable for fuller, squarer strikes.

The MP-R12’s thick top edge enhances both trajectory control and the spin created by the Mizuno Quad Cut Groove system. Available in two finishes.

The JPX825’s threatening clubhead tapers back from the face, hugging low to the ground – giving a clue to the relentlessly straight soaring drives its Hot Metal face wants to produce.

A five piece Titanium construction is the engine of the JPX825 – with specific variations of Titanium used for each part of the clubhead. A Forged 6-4 Ti face with two layer thickness design is Mizuno’s hottest yet – with a rounded top edge designed to keep the face ‘alive’ across an even larger area.

The crown piece is thinned through a chemical etching process, reducing it to just 0.5mm. This allows a heavy weight to be fixed

deep within the JPX825 clubhead to launch the ball high, with low backspin – to go deep into the fairways.

Finally, the black IP face and high gloss black crown stare down the ball and tell everyone that you’re not about to go easy.

With an aim of looking easy to hit, the JPX825 uses a slightly on-set face to ensure its loft is highly visible at address, with a leading front edge that wants to slide under the ball.

A new L-Face construction enables a rounded edge between face and sole allowing the face to flex like a much larger surface – for higher ball speeds and incredibly long flight. A maraging steel was chosen to ensure the L-Face flexes to maximum effect across the largest possible area.

The JPX825’s square face angle with deeply set internal weighting, makes sure that shots set off on a high flight, with little deviation from their starting path. With an aim of looking easy to hit, the JPX825 ensures its face is highly visible at address, with a leading front edge that wants to slide easily under the ball.

A new L-Face construction enables a rounded edge between face and sole allowing the face to flex like a much larger surface – for higher ball speeds and incredibly long flight. A maraging steel was chosen to ensure the L-Face flexes to maximum effect across the largest possible area.

In line with Mizuno’s Balanced Performance concept, the JPX825’s deliver exceptional ball speed and distance, while at the same time producing a more solid feel than their predecessors. All packed within a playing profile that never becomes too bulky or overly offset.

In the longer irons (4 to 7) a pocket cavity design, helps to achieve an incredible level of forgiveness, within a manageable head size. A thin, responsive HOT METAL face also delivers incredible ball speeds and high, soft landing flights.

Uniquely within a high forgiveness design, the JPX825 also addresses the need for playable, versatile short irons. The 8-iron through pitching wedge utilise a more compact, solid design to balance the need for distance with a greater level of precision.

FORGED BALANCED PERFORMANCE

With more offset, thicker topline and larger face profile than its MP counterparts, the JPX825 Pro is well matched to solid ball strikers looking for a little more assistance from off-centre strikes. With a thinner face than the MP irons, the JPX825 Pro also generates a higher level of ball speed and yardage club for club.

Through the set the JPX825 Pro produces a more solid feel than its predecessor (JPX800 Pro) – thanks to a reinforced cavity frame, engineered through Mizuno’s Harmonic Impact Technology (H.I.T) project. The possibility of clean, consistent ball striking is made possible with a triple cut sole design – allowing the mid size sole to pass cleanly through the turf.

The JPX825 Pro also evolves a more pronounced taper in head-size from 4 iron to pitching wedge. The head length change through the set is the most noticeable in Mizuno’s iron line up and ensures there is control where most needed in the shorter irons.

The JPX825 Pro’s long and mid irons (4-7 iron) offer a deep CNC milled pocket cavity that allows 17 grams of weight to the toe and heel – providing plenty of forgiveness where most needed. The shorter irons (8-PW) forego the milled pocket, for a simpler cavity design with greater thickness behind impact for a more penetrating and workable ball flight.

- For most iron models Mizuno offer lighter weight heads which can be used to keep the swingweight to a standard balance for club lengths up to +1/2” longer. Anything longer than that and the swingweight will increase above the recommended balance. (As a rough calculation, every extra 1/2” in length will increase the swingweight by 3 balance points).

- Irons can be built from 1” shorter than standard up to a maximum of 2” longer than standard.

- Woods can be built +/- 1/2” from standard length but the swingweight will increase by 3 points for +1/2” and reduce by 3 points for -1/2”.

LOFT AND LIE ADJUSTMENT

- Mizuno irons can be adjusted to varying degrees depending on model and material type. In some cases, due to the softness of our forgings, “craftsman’s” marks on the hosels may result from bending them to the required loft / lie.

- Any adjustment to loft will alter the bounce angle on the sole. Making the loft stronger will increase the offset and reduce the bounce angle.

For possible adjustments to particular models, please refer to the model page on our website. - Iron lofts can be adjusted up to 2 degrees stronger than standard (note: making the loft stronger will

increase the offset and reduce the bounce angle of the sole). - No loft or lie adjustments can be made to drivers or fairway woods. - No loft angle adjustment is possible for MP-H4, JPX 825, JPX EZ, JPX Wedges, JPX Fli-Hi and Hybrid

models.

GRIPS / GRIP THICKNESS

- Mizuno fit .580 core grips as standard to all men’s steel shafts with the exception of Dynamic Gold R300; as they have a smaller butt size a .560 is used.

- Grips can be thickened with up to five layers of tape (Tour Velvet Midsize is equivalent to about five tapes).
