GENERAL DESCRIPTION
This document has been prepared to provide a functional overview of the Modular
Offshore Drilling and Workover Package.
As the Workover package is modular it can be configured/customised to suit specific
applications. This can include the addition of handling equipment for larger pipe or
conductor sizes as well as picking the drill pipe up from any of 3 sides.
The Modular Drilling and Workover package can be built with the mud system on
either side to allow access of the rig to all well locations on the platform.
In its current configuration it is set up to sit on Rig Skid beams up to 16 metres apart
and to operate on side track drilling or well abandonment operations with the
Modular Rig System. Sitting on the rig skidding beams allows the Modular Rig and
Mud system to skid quickly and efficiently from well to well.

FUNCTIONAL OVERVIEW
The system consists of the following packages:
o Rig System Support Beams and Skidding System
o Rig Substructure including BOP transport system, Well Control Stack and Bell nipple
o Drill floor c/w Iron Roughneck, Rig Assist Jack, Mud Bucket and Tiger Tail.
o Pipe handling Cat Walk Machine
o Mast system including hoist mechanism.
o Top Drive system including wash pipe, Drill motor, I-BOP’s and Hydraulic Elevators.
o Stair Towers including Pipe handling winches and Standpipe manifold.
TECHNICAL OVERVIEW
The system consists of easily transportable equipment skids to ensure quick and
efficient assembly/disassembly of the Modular Rig System on any location.
Subject to Crew and Crane availability the Modular Rig System can be built and
operational within 3 to 5 days.
