MIFI 2200 SETUP GUIDE IMPORTANT: Read and follow all instructions below before powering on your MiFi 2200®. ©2010 Verizon Wireless MIFIPOD1010EN In order to activate your MiFi 2200® as a Mobile Hotspot, periodically monitor data usage, and ensure that your MiFi is always up to date with the latest software, follow the instructions below to install the VZAccess® Manager drivers and software on your computer. You can also check your usage by visiting My Verizon or My Business Account on the web. Step Install battery/ PC Connection Insert MiFi 2200 battery. Do NOT power on MiFi 2200. Connect your MiFi 2200 to your computer with the included cable. Your MiFi 2200 will power on automatically. Your computer will recognize your MiFi 2200 as new hardware and prompt you to install VZAccess Manager on your desktop. Step VZAccess Manager Installation If VZAccess Manager does not run automatically on your desktop or prompt you to install, open VZAccess Manager manually on your computer: For PC users Right-click Start menu, select Explore (Windows Explorer) and click on drive named VZAccess Manager. Click on Install VZAccess Manager. For Mac users Click to open the VZAccess Manager icon. Follow the prompts to install VZAccess Manager. (After the installation is complete, you may have to restart your computer.) If your MiFi device was activated at the Verizon Wireless retail store, please proceed to Step 4. If your MiFi device was not activated in the retail store, please proceed to Step 3. Step MiFi 2200 Activation After installation, open VZAccess Manager. Ensure your MiFi 2200 is powered ON. (If VZAccess Manager displays MiFi 2200 powered OFF, open the Options Menu and select Power On WWAN Device.) If prompted to re-install VZAccess Manager, close window. To activate, select Options, Activation. Once activated, unplug your MiFi 2200 from computer. View data usage using VZAccess Manager To view data usage, go to Tools menu and select Usage. For software updates, select Help menu and select Check for Updates. Step Connecting to your MiFi 2200 with Wi-Fi Ensure MiFi 2200 is powered ON. Connect up to five Wi-Fi– capable devices to your MiFi 2200. View data usage on My Verizon: Connect your MiFi 2200 to your computer using the provided USB cord, launch VZAccess Manager and connect WWAN. Go to verizonwireless.com If you are not currently registered for My Verizon or My Business Account, register now using an existing Verizon Wireless mobile telephone number or, if you don’t have one, the MiFi 2200 mobile number, which can be found on your receipt. A temporary password will be sent via text message to your VZAccess Manager. Go to the VZAccess Manager and click on the TXT Messaging tab to obtain your temporary password. Log in to My Verizon or My Business to check data usage. MiFi is a registered trademark of Novatel Wireless, Inc.

In order to activate your MiFi 2200® as a Mobile Hotspot, periodically monitor data usage, and ensure that your MiFi is always up to date with the latest software, follow the instructions below to install the VZAccess® Manager drivers and software on your computer. You can also check your usage by visiting My Verizon or My Business Account on the web.

Step ➊Install battery/ PC Connection• Insert MiFi 2200 battery.• Do NOT power on MiFi

2200.• Connect your MiFi 2200

to your computer with the included cable. Your MiFi 2200 will power on automatically.

Your computer will recognize your MiFi 2200 as new hardware and prompt you to install VZAccess Manager on your desktop.

Step ➋VZAccess Manager Installation• If VZAccess Manager

• If prompted to re-install VZAccess Manager, close window.

• To activate, select Options, Activation.

• Once activated, unplug your MiFi 2200 from computer.

View data usage using VZAccess Manager• To view data usage, go

to Tools menu and select Usage.

• For software updates, select Help menu and select Check for Updates.

powered ON.• Connect up to five Wi-Fi–

capable devices to your MiFi 2200.
