AMY LINCE

Executive Assistant to the President and Board of [email protected]

Amy Lince is new to the Mid Michigan College team, starting her position as Executive Assistant to the President and Board of Trustees in July of 2018. Previously, Amy served as a Career Transition Coordinator for Michigan Works! and has experience working in local government. Amy has a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Marketing from Baker College. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, gardening, and photography.

CHRIS STANTONVeteran Services Coordinator and Apprenticeship Success [email protected]

Chris Stanton is the Veteran Services Coordinator and Apprenticeship Success Coordinator for Mid-Michigan College. Chris spent six years in the Army National Guard and went on one tour to Afghanistan. After the Army, Chris earned an Associate’s Degree from MID and a Bachelor’s in Public Relations from Central Michigan University. Since being at MID he has opened a Veteran Resource Center on each campus, developed and advises the Student Veterans of America club and has helped hundreds of veterans, soldiers and dependents. MID currently holds one of the highest veteran friendly school designations in the state through the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency. He serves in the community as the Chair of the Region 5 Veteran Community Action Team which covers 8 counties in this area and is also on the board of the Central Michigan Veterans Fund.

DAWN TANNERDirector of Talent [email protected]

Dawn Tanner has been employed with Mid Michigan College since February of 2016. She first served as the Associate Director of Personnel Services and is currently serving as the Director of Talent Acquisition. In this role, she manages the effective delivery of the college’s talent management platform, the recruiting, selection and onboarding programs, and collaborates with supervisors to assist them in carrying out their responsibilities for managing staff. With 20+ years of experience in professional roles, Dawn has worked for a variety of employers in both the private and public sector, in organizations such as rehabilitation therapies, employee leasing, media publishing, and community mental health. Dawn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a major in Human Resources Management from Oakland University. She also earned the SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP®) certification from the Society of Human Resources Management in 2017. In addition, she was a volunteer leader on the Board of Mid Michigan Human Resource Association for over 10 years.

HANNAH LONGEnrollment Management Specialist [email protected]

Hannah Long has served as the Mount Pleasant Enrollment Management Specialist at Mid Michigan Community College since May 2018. In this role, she supports admissions, mentoring, and academic advising staff. Hannah holds a Master of Arts in Higher Education Administration and a B.A. in Health Administration from Central Michigan University. She started her student affairs career in Central Michigan University’s Leadership Institute serving as an academic advisor and helped design leadership programming. Since then, her professional experiences have included student athlete leadership training, cohort model development, event planning, and alumni relations. Currently, Hannah and her partner live in Mount Pleasant with their two dogs, Moose and Nelly.

JUSTIN PLEVINSKIAdjunct Instructor - Computer Information Systems & [email protected]

Justin Plevinski has worked in higher education for the last seven years. He has worked as an adjunct faculty member at MMC teaching in Computer Information Systems and the Humanities. He taught as a fixed-term faculty member at Central Michigan University (CMU) teaching courses on relationships and gerontology. Justin also currently works at CMU as a doctoral research assistant in Education Technology as he pursues his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership. He also worked at the Michigan Department of Corrections teaching incarcerated individuals computer literacy, personal finance, and soft skills. Justin is passionate about innovative use of digital technologies to support student success, particularly among those students who have been historically disadvantaged. Justin holds a B.S. in Psychology and Information Technologies, M.A. in the Humanities, and an M.S. in Human Development and Family Studies – all from CMU.

KARLEY ROYMid Mentor - Transfer [email protected]

Karley Roy started her full time career at Mid Michigan College in 2010 where she has worked for the Title III Grant Office, Registration, Academics and currently the Mid Mentor to transfer students. Karley has an Associates in Graphic Design from Mid Michigan College, A Bachelors of Psychology, and a Certificate in Social Media Marketing from Central Michigan University.

KIM VAN PARISFinancial Aid [email protected]

Kim Van Paris has served as a Financial Aid Officer and Financial Aid Analyst for the past two years at Mid Michigan College. In this role, she is responsible for all aspects of financial aid office’s customer service delivery. Kim brings over 15 years of financial aid experience to Mid Michigan College. She has served as a Financial Aid Director at a clock-hour and modular school and has served as a Counselor and Processor at Davenport University. Kim holds a Master of Business Administration with an emphasis in Human Resources from Davenport University. Kim also earned a BA in Management from Davenport University.

KIRA CASTLEMid Mentor - Chippewa Achieve Program (CAP)[email protected]

Kira Castle has served as a Mid Mentor at Mid Michigan College since 2016. In this role, she assists students from application to graduation, guiding them through orientation, registration, financial aid, and academic services. She also serves as the Mid program lead for the Chippewa Achieve Program, a partnership venture with Central Michigan University. Kira has also held various roles in admissions, student activities, advising, orientation, student success, and college access during her career as a student affairs professional. She holds a Master of Arts in Education Leadership from Western Michigan University and a Bachelor of Arts in English/Writing and Economics & Business from Kalamazoo College.

LINDSAY GOLDENMid Mentor - Dual Enrollment

Lindsay Golden has served as the Mid Mentor and Academic Advisor for the Dual Enrollment Program at Mid Michigan College since 2016. In this role, she facilitates the relationships between Mid Michigan College and its dual enrollment partners; coordinating the enrollment and retention of students and guiding their academic planning and progress. Lindsay began her career at Mid Michigan College in 2006 when she began as a student employee while earning her Associates in Arts. She has continued to build a career in student services holding roles within financial aid, technical trades, admissions, and enrollment. Lindsay also completed her BBA in Management from Northwood University in 2016.

JODIE ROMZEKAcademic Advisor

Jodie Romzek has been an Academic Advisor primarily on the Mount Pleasant campus for over 3 years. She excels at navigating the intricacies of our health science programs and creating personalized transfer pathways for students. Jodie also specializes in guiding students experiencing financial aid difficulty or barriers to academic success. She began her career as a middle school science teacher and has received a Bachelor of Science degree in Outdoor & Environmental Education and Geology and a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from CMU. Jodie lives with her husband and three dogs and enjoys distance running and road biking. She is passionate about helping students find success.
